My brothers and I don't smoke but both of my parents smoke.

I'm against it but not so extremely that I yell at people who are. I simply do not wish to smoke at all for the duration of my life.

I respect those who do though I sincerely wish that people would stop. I once read that the US spends more than $70 billion on cigarettes annually. If people stopped smoking and spent their money elsewhere, think of how much good could be done and that's only in the US.

Anyway, people smoke whether we like it or not. It's their choice.

im not getting '' hissy '' plus second hand smoke IS more dangerous than direct inhalation, you see when a human breathes out the smoke, the smoke is concentrated with carbon monoxide, so it is more dangerous.

I know why you lose weight! It's because to burn down the tar in your lungs your body needs a lot of calories. So it burns that. And then your fat. Doesn't go that fast though...

But seriously people. To best way to lose weight is being healthy. As in eat normal and do some sports.

Also people who smoke need to wash their windows from the inside too. Especially in the car. People who don't smoke don't have to do that! Save yourself some money, energy and health and don't smoke!

I have never tried persuading someone to stop smoking as it is their own unchangable and personal choice. Instead I just call them a grotty idiot and that is it.

Exactly, we need less do-gooders and more people with common sense.

I still don't get it though, why some people say they quit then they say "oh, I only have one when I have a drink" is that quitting or is that faking it?

I'm not a smoker, nor do I even really care if people do. I have asthma so if I were to smoke, I'd be coughing up all my entrails (Second hand smoking is enough to get me to hack and weeze). If people aren't a smoker, kewl. If people I know DO in fact smoke. Don't do it near me, I'd rather not have my asthma act up (Or at least try to diver the smoke AWAY from me). Not upholding to this request leads to nasty results for the perpetraitor.

even though I smoke, im not a heavy smoker so I dont like to be near someone who is smoking sometimes, you see when a smoker is smoking they cant smell the smoke, but then when we arent smoking we can smell how foul it smells...like burning rubbish and nerf herder excrement.
and if a smoker knows your asthmatic and proceeds to light up a death stick near ya, he/she should be shot then frozen in carbonite.!

I can't stand cigarettes. So many people in my school smoke and when they walk past you in the corridor they leave a big whiff of fags behind them. Also, people tend to gather on the corner of the pavement outside school at the end of the day and have some cigs- which ends up blocking the path so people have to walk on the road to avoid the cloud of smoke.

I smoked for three years until a doctor told me I was killing my wife. At that time they just diaganosed her with asthma and being allergic to smoke. So ya I had to quit. I would advise anyone who smokes to quit. My wifes grandfather is hooked up to an Oxygen tank and has to go to dialysis couple times a week because of the ciggarettes he smoked. To watch him smoke his cig. and then have to suck on the oxygen tank. My mother in law got lung cancer from 2nd hand smoke according to her doctor. She survived it, but had to give up half of one of her lungs. I'm not telling you that you have to quit. What you do to your body is your business. All I'm saying is think about it.

I'm anti smoking because second hand smoke, global warming, etc. But the poor underpaid workers on tobacco plantations have to work or they'll die.

I'm a non smoker, not 18 yet, but even if I was 18 I still wouldn't smoke. It broke my family up, my mom couldn't take my dad's constant smoking and drinking and how he was setting a bad example for my two older brothers (before I was born), so she left him. I never met my dad, so I've kinda vowed to not go down the path of smoking/drinking/drugs.

So, no smoking for me thank you.

If you smoke just leave me out of it and we'll be fine.
