Yaoi or Yuri. The discussion is pretty much open and you could talk about anything related to Yaoi or Yuri

Ummmm..... I don't think thats an approriate thing to discuss on AF.
This should be on the General Anime & Manga Sub-forum. O_O *but posts anyways*
I've watched a lot of yaoi and yuri....even though due to my underage. Strawberry Panic is one of them, and I find it decent =^w^=

ohhhh........ my............. god........ children. What the hell man. this is like 4chan related and not relevant to my interest. Good day sir.
1.) Not appropriate.
2.) A lot of people do watch that type of thing.
3.) Why did you put this thread up?!
(Extra post for me, yay.) o_O
Live Each Day As If It Was Your Last. . .
It's appropriate, just not for here.
Besides, we've had several yaoi/yuri discussions already.

Done well, they are moving/funny/generally entertaining with an extra layer of mature content. On average, they're vanilla wank material.
The same could be said of all H material, though.
Yuri and Yaoi. Two japanese words that can get my thrown in jail.....
Xero gave the thumbs up.
I'm a fan of Yaoi that doesn't involve a man making the nasty with another man.If it's just a guy with feelings for a guy...I'll watch some since I'm sure of my sexuality.
Yuri:I can't find good ones that don't have a girl that looks like a guy.

I'll allow this thread, so long as it doesn't get too...descriptive? Keep it PG-13.
"The color fades along the intervals I follow."
Yaoi Yuri fan here.
Yaoi...I don't mind anything...as in to say I'm quite open minded on this...Anyway..it's just anime....not really inappropriate...just that if you don't like then don't watch it...coz some people really can't stand it...
Yuri:I only know 2 yuri animes....Marimite & Strawberry Panic-(I just fnished strawberry panic)!!!Actually Strawberry panic is more of like school life...+ Yuri.....It was a VERY NICE ANIME(Don't misunderstand me...I'm not some pervert or what...) Anyway...I think it's rated PG-13...not above that since there isn't really any hentai stuff....But it's weird that these stuff even happen in such prestigious catholic schools....
Just to mention that in the 1st few episodes...a lot of people said:"I'M GONNA BASH MY CLOCK IF THEY WEREN'T GONNA KISS"...true enough...almost every time they get interrupted..=="
Lol...I'm Back!FYI:Shana FTW!:3

Why did some users deem this thread inappropriate? It seems okay to me, although that may be because I have adapted to yuri and other hentai so much that I do not really see any major problems with it anymore. I am not being silly by the way, I generally think that.
Yuri. You cannot get better than Strawberry Panic! The girls on that anime are just so cute, and they are lesbians. You cannot get any better. I was going to say Lolicon could make it better but it is already a Loli anime so, yes, it could not possibly get any better then it is now from my point of view.
Then there us just my big collection. Lolicon has over-powered their numbers now though. If what I am saying is not appropriate then please tell me because I seriously would not know. I know the rules but it is just the way that I have adapted to hentai themes.
That which is; is the truth.
I love watching yaoi and yuri animes, I don't know what it is about it that I like, I guess because it's just different than the normal romantic anime. I loved watching Loveless, Gravitation, Sukisyo, Strawberry Panic!, and Simon. Does anyone have any other yaoi/yuri series to recommend?
I only got couple Ep's into Strawberry panic, then Started to watch some other anime, can't remember. Will have to watch it again, but for the most part I haven't watched any Yaoi/Yuri yet, just haven't got around to it ( Will admit not into Yaoi though ^^). Girls Bravo had some Yuri in it later on but don't think that counts.
Jingle does not watch.
I like yaoi. I think the reason is because I love beautiful men, and if they just happen to be kissing one another, so be it. That's one of the things I like about japanese anime writers. They cross the line, and don't really give a damn. I'm not into yuri in any way, but I would like to see that strawberry panic series, especially since a lot of people think it's good anime to watch.
Hey ria1, you've double posted for quite some times, now you're triple posting? You better edit your posts,i've told you before.
Yaoi/Yuri reccomendations:I had a thread on that before. Yaoi's are mostly manga...I mean those really "yaoi"ones...I don't wanna go over Pg 13 so I'll stop for now,if you wanna get some, search for the threads started by me, amray recommended quite a few but he's banned now.
There aren't much Yuri anime/mangas around. I only know marimite and strawberry panic. If there's anymore post it here too.
p/s:Personally I like yaoi over yuri...the guys are so hot ><!!!!hehe....As I've said before...girls are masterminds behind yaoi><!
Lol...I'm Back!FYI:Shana FTW!:3
You are right. It's not yaoi. It's shounen ai
Here's the differnece (source wiki of course)
Yaoi-Yaoi (やおい)[nb 1] is a popular term for fictional media that focuses on homosexual male relationships, yet is generally created by and for females. Originally referring to a specific type of dōjinshi parody of mainstream anime and manga works, yaoi came to be used as a generic term for female-oriented manga, anime, novels and dōjinshi featuring homosexual male relationships.[1]
Shounen Ai-Shōnen-ai (少年愛 boy-love?) originally meant ephebophilia or pederasty in Japan, but from the early 1970s to the late 1980s, was used to describe a new genre of shōjo manga, primarily by the Year 24 Group, about beautiful boys in love. Characteristics of shōnen-ai include that they were exotic, often taking place in Europe,[31] and idealistic.[32] Suzuki describes shōnen-ai as being "pedantic" and "difficult to understand",[7] saying that they required "knowledge of classic literature, history and science"[32] and were replete with "philosophical and abstract musings".[33] She says that this challenged the young readers and expanded their minds. Although they could not understand the works at first reading, as they grew older they would come to understand the works more. In the meantime, "the readers' attention became focused on the figure of the male protagonist" and how he navigated his sexual relationships.[33] By the late 1980s, the popularity of professionally published shonen-ai was declining, and yaoi doujinshi was becoming more popular.[8]
In fact of these should be shounen/shoujo ai as yaoi and yuri would be porn.
Don't mind yoai or yuri-even like it-as long as its canon-i.e. Gravatation, Strawberry Panic, Loveless, Kanazuki no Miko etc.
But if you put a yaoi/yuri pair together that isn't canon...I'll hate you forever. x_X 'Cause to me-if you put oh-lets just say for the sake of the argument-Kenshin x Sanosuke...That's just disturbing and gross. I don't know about anyone else, but it's pretty crystal clear to me that both Ken-san and Sano are a hedrosexual.
I mean, after all Kenshin was with Tomoe, and then married Kaoru after his days of being boutousai and a rourouni were over. Heck, they even had a baby boy. And Sano-(though this is just in the TV series) was *very* interested in that Catholic girl at the end.
That's only one exp. of many-but-I'd love it if fans kept yaoi and yuri to yoai and yuri.
Though I know it'll never happen...
How'd You Like That On Your Lawn?!"I may be empty, but I'm not worthless!"
...Clear...
I don't mind either as long as it has a somewhat good story. I've only watched one yuri show and it wasn't that good... and I thought the girls were all phony. >_>; And it was ecchi too which in my opinion ridiculed the girls overall feelings.
I like yaoi much better 8DD I can't help but to feel embarrassed whenever there's a yaoi scene, but excited at the same time. (Admitting this feels so freaking weird.) It's even better if there's two or more hot guys. ^__^
"The color fades along the intervals I follow."
Um, its a really short manga series but Kashimashi is kind of Yuri. I picked it up not really realizing what it was. i never finished it but from the two books i bought it was good.
Horribly sorry to say this but the author says in book one its not yaoi, page 69 i believe. >.< I'm totally serious. And its only shounen ai if you count Muraki and Hisoka but being PG 13 i wont explain what that was about.
Omg thank you for explaining that because i didn't want to type all that out.
And now for my reply. <3 the yaoi. I have many. And its great. I don't look for yuri. o.O being a girl, girls aren't my cup of tea.
Only fools accept the obvious and go no farther.Common sense isn't so common anymore."I'll follow you everywhere you go in my oh-so-inconspicuous bright red car and convince myself you don't notice."4// Itchy. Tasty.
