Is Naruto overrated

Nah It sucks like 20 minute flashbacks and stupid obvious reselutions to the problem which would take like 5 minutes to solve in naruto it takes like 3 -4 episodes....

And I have seen over powered characters but naruto takes the cake for all the op anime characters out there, I mean naruto shippuden is aight but the american version just makes it suck big time.. I would rather my eyes bleed out and me never ever be able to watch or play anything again than to have to listen to naruto's voice one more time.

Naruto isn't over rated, but it is overly popular for it's level of quality.

It's very much mainstream generic anime for the masses.

I don't really like caling things 'overrated'. I've never seen Naruto, and probably won't watch it. But it's popular for a reason. It obviously appeals to a lot of people and kids.

Mhm, the show is very overrated but I still enjoy the show. I read the manga of Naruto fairly alot and its enjoyable. Yes overrated, but still a decent show.

agreed that people that just watch one anime, or just the mainstream ones, and think that its the best are annoying and agreed that it includes alot of people, but that doesn't mean that all people that dress up as naruto or bleach or any other main stream anime character have a one track mind. i for example mostly dress up as Jiraya when going to con's *cos i like the shoe like things* but i watch heaps of different anime i just like naruto and bleach and air gear more.

Naruto is overated but then again i think a anime is only good when it stops around 12 or 26 episodes 50 at the max. strong characther backgrounds? i only saw the backgrounds of those who had a semi sad background and tentent background was never revealed. and the first arc wasent even about naruto it was al about sasgay. i stopped watching a while back i rather watch ghost hunt or cowboy bebop than naruto.

as much as i love naruto, it is DEFINATELY overrated.

I think it is overrated, but I still watch it sometimes. I do wish they'd stop putting useless episodes where all they do is talk. If they're going to show filler episodes, they might as well have some good action, not some 2 minute struggle that ends in Naruto using rasengan.

While I agree that the Filler episodes sucks like a pair of smelly socks, I really don't think it is overrated. People like me just love it the way it is . Actually the first naruto series was quite dull but the recent Shippudden series is getting quite action packed and interesting. So, I recommend the latest Shippuuden series to watch.

No, actualy I don't think naruto is overated, but I do think there are a lot of people who hate it just because it's popular, and the fact that its quality is hard to put your finger on doesn't help.

Naruto suceeds in creating a fleshed out universe, with numerous endeering and deep characters. The story has many facests. It doesn't have the kinds of plot holes that something like Bleach does (Don't be hatein, I like Bleach)
Plus the style is very good, everything looks great. Besides some of the bad dialougue early on and the undeniably worst filler ever, I'd say it's the best anime.

People say its over rated but it is a good anime and the number of the fans show it. Many of you will say you have seen better and shorter animes that ended and I will say I have too. But on a scale of 1 to 10 Naruto is like an 8/9 for me.

So is any anime people don't like that has a fan base as large as Naruto, make it over rated because other people don't like it? Thats seems to be the case with Naruto.
