First note that these are all my own work. These pictures of the London Embankment, St Paul's Cathedral, and other various attractions were all personally taken by me on the 27th August 2008. There is also no need to tell me that the date and time on my Camera was wrong, as it is not the year 2020. This was the first time that I used the camera and I had no idea on how to modify the settings. In fact t'was only half way through my little tour of London when I realised how to zoom in, so you will have to forgive me on that note.
I have spent some time resizing these photographs as they were titanic in size by all means. I want to try my best to keep this thread unlocked, so if I am doing something wrong may I ask to be notified by site staff? I have read the rules for this section so I do not think that I am doing anything to threaten them. I would also like to put them as attachments because I have no other way to upload them properly. Thankyou.
So, picture 1. You may recognise this as St Paul's Cathedral, well you are right. That is the masterpiece itself. I did go in there although when inside it is strictly forbidden to take any photographs or make video's, which I was extremely gutted for as it was absolutely beautiful in there. It was not allowed as it would be disrespecting the prayers and such of this holy structure. I climbed 528 steps to get to the very top where I also took photo's. Amazing, but the breeze was quite strong so it was quite scarey to be up there at first. I only wish I could have taken pictures of the inside of the dome from the whispering gellery. Hand-painted pictures that were so beautiful it was unreal.
Picture 2. The Tower Bridge of London. I had actually taken this picture just after I had crossed it. Lucky for me as it opened after that as you can see. Behind me is the Tower of London, and to my right is a foreigner filming the bridge opening. I think he was French if I recall. This only happens about once or twice a day so I thought that I had better make the most of it.
Picture 3 is the Houses of Parliament/ Big Ben. This had to be the place where the most tourists were resided. This was the first close-encounter that I had with Big Ben and I was so amazed. I never knew that the clock was fixed with so much gold plating, not to mention that close up there were calved angels built into the actual house itself. Incredible. I took many a photo of the Big Ben as I was extremely happy to have finally meet him.
For fans of the anime "Black Blood Brothers". To the Left hand side of me is the Westminister Bridge, which is also the bridge where the main protagonist of the series, Jiro Mochizuki, met his lover, Alice Eve.
Picture 4. Big Ben, The Houses of Parliament, and the London Eye, all in one photograph. There were quite a few people fighting for this spot that I was in as it made a fantastic scene. I was the first one there but there were many tourists, photographers and what nots behind me.
Picture 5, The Tower of London. Some of you may know this place as the tower in which Alucard had part of his final battle against Incognito in from the Hellsing series. Expensive place to enter, even more so than St Paul's Cathedral, but it is really quite amazing. This picture is taken from the other side of the Thames river. Behind me is a park and an Italian Restaurant I believe...let me rephrase that..a very 'expensive' Italian restaurant.
I have many more photographs, although I thought that this would do for now. I will post more if users decide to actually take any interest as I am not going to spend hours resizing images when no one is looking. So there may be more later in the week or something. Depends.
Thankyou. And again, if I am doing something wrong could somebody please tell me?
