Sensitive about Shortness?

Haha, so the title pretty much says it all, is anyone really 'senstive' about their height?
I know I am, at 5'2 I am the shortest of all my friends, and well...everyone else in my school lol. My friends call me Chibi and shortie, hobbit etc etc. I do tend to go uh....'Edward Elric' on them, flippping out and all that xD
How do you guys feel about your height?

I am short for my age, although I could not care less. In fact I love it. A lot of my friends were also short though. I did get called "shorty" and such, but it never once bothered me. What did annoy me though is the odd occasion where some complete idiot would come up to me and say "Did you know that you are short?".
"......No I had no idea. Nothing gets past you does it Sherlock? Thanks for that."

I would in most cases say that. I am growing though and have gotten taller in recent years. I like it and it has its positive sides too.

Lol, some people can be so stupid. A guess a plus to being short would have to be gettign trhough crowds easier, just duck and weave through em, leaving your friends in teh dust xD

It also really comes in handy when playing 'Hide and Seek'. That is a bonus.

I'm happy with my height at 5ft 5, but my boyfriend has issues because he's 5ft 3 so I'm taller (which is fine with me). He doesn't like being short, but i think its endearing, 'Edward Elric' is a good way to put how he feels about his height.

My only gripe is that my little brothers are now both taller than me. It's very disconcerting when I return home every once in a while.

Nah, I'm not really sensitive about my height. I'm short, but there are shorter people than me and I've always been the tallest of my two best friends. xD

I am a bit on the short side, especially compared to most of my friends, but I really don't mind that much. There is the occasional 'gee, you're short' from some of my taller friends, but I usually respond with 'gee, you're freakishly tall'.

There was a time where me and my friends were playing hide and seek for fun some years ago, and the seeker was chasing me and my cousin, whom was also short. Luckily there was a small hole in a fence that me and my cousin could squeeze through, but he could not so he had to go the whole way around the fence to the next entrance. So we got away.

haha, yeah really. But its always a real bother trying to find a pair of size 3 jeans that aren't made for a bean pole supermodel. >_>

-sighs- I am 5'2. Short for my age. I'm 16. I am only taller than one friend who is six months younger, a 19y/o, a 34 y/o and a 32y/o. But they are all only liek 2 inches shorter at max.

But what's really bad is when you are my height and your weight class is that of the new average 10 year old. Then people are liek "are you anorexic?" Yes, I am anorexic. It perfectly explains why I've been trying to gain more than 2 pounds and keep it the past 3 years. -rolls eyes-

I'm 170cm [sorry, maths jerk, can't scale <.<] and I'm rather satisfied with that. I would like a few more cm, but there aren't many tall guys around here so... My height is too tall for most of them already. >.> Besides, I can enjoy the pleasure of wearing high heals without being a giraffe.

when I was a child I wanted to be taller... I was always at the front line because I was so short -_-
I even used to drink a lot of milk ugh, and I hate milk...
But now, I´m happy with the my height =)

As someone who is not short, I don't understand why you're insecure about it.

Us tall people think you're all awesome; Sure you need us to reach the top shelf and install ceiling fixtures but we need you to get stuff that fell under the table and squeeze through air ducts for a zany scheme. <3

I haven't grown in almost 3 years -_-'
But I'm not that bothered (if at all) about it. I have at least 4 friends that are smaller than me. The rest are only a bit taller.
And it's not like I'm short and pudgy either... just petit.

I'm told I'm tall, but even if I wasn't, I wouldn't feel insecure about anything. I'd do different things to where I couldn't when I was taller. Your height has the pros and cons, but you should always look on the bright side. And seeing all these kids in 6th grade with how short they are.
They're probably nothing but between 4'0" and 4'6". It's just a wow to me.

Most of my friends are kinda shorter than me (Im only 5' 5'' myself) and they nearly kill me when I call them short. I'm not even allowed to say the s-h-o-r-t word around them >.>;

I still get called short for some reason though but it doesn't really phase me .__.

The only person I ever tease about being short is my aunt, but she does start it off by mentioning my height, mind we both do it in good fun so he doesn't get offended or anything, so I suppose that is acceptable. Otherwise, I fair to see why I should point out the obvious to someone.

I'm okay with my height, which is around 5'6 or 5'7. I've been called short and tall both by different people. Neither of those bothers me in any way though. I really don't see why comments made about a person's height should offend them anyway, unless meant as an insult.

I'm to tall.It's not as fun as it sounds.Like Sano said it is VERY difficult to reach things from the floor.I haven't gone through height puberty yet and am six feet one.I know because I've been six feet since I was either twelve or thirteen.
It's also difficult to get a girl when she hits your shoulder.

Yes, I'm short (5'2), and yesyesyes, I'm very sensitive about it. XDDD My family/friends are always commenting on my lack of height, and it ticks me off so bad. XD Ah well. >_>

Nah, I'm not very sensitive about it, because I'm already at a pretty decent height. I'm around 5'7 1/2'' to 5'8''. I'm happy with that, but I wanna grow taller!!!!! Not "freakishly tall," but atleast at a decent height...because my girlfriend is already 5'5'' and is younger than me, so she'll most likely grow taller than me if I don't have another growth spurt now Sometimes being Asian has it's consequences >.<;
