I mean man in general not just men women too.
I guess a sense of justice.A man who knows how to judge right from wrong. You can know calculus and still be an idiot if you fight without thinking.I'm not gonna get too deep yet...

So... I guess you could simplify this question... "Distill" it, if you prefer... into the question "What is a man?" If you so chose, I mean.
I'm just trying to clarify what we're talking about here, before I give a definite answer you see.
When he not only knows others and the world around him, but when he finally reaches that point where he knows himself, then I call a man intelligent, and then he becomes whole ...also, if he knows his weaknesess, limitations and strengths, and then tries to improve himself, then that's an intelligent man ^^
Oh, Hi-deeki, imagine... your kind not eating raw fish! ^_^

When the intelligence attribute is above 15 (Though 10 is average). I also say wisdom provides a good role too.
Seems like wisdom, knowledge and intelligence get confused a lot. Intelligence is the ability to learn new concepts and apply them. Knowledge is just pure information. Wisdom is an instinctual insight into people and the world and usually has to be acquired through suffering.
Right and wrong are morality.
Ah, but an intelligent person knows their morals.Good or bad I guess. Someone can have bad morals too.Morals are just something you live by.
"Should I fight him just because he called me an idiot"
Intelligent guy:No,he's not worth it.
Dumb person:"KICK HIS BUTT"
I'm somewhat the dumb person sadly.
The quality of his haberdasher. Too many times I have come across persons wearing top hats made of low-quality felted rabbit sloppily stiffened with the Mercury. To them I say Good Day.
Ehhh, I dunno if I'll stick around. We'll see.

A person who can make the right decision and not the best they can. Perfection is improbable without experience. A person who chooses not to. Look into some world history. Preferably countries that had or have dictators. Or just watch Cops for the quick and easy version.

Intelligence is being able to observe, learn, understand, and adapt, as I see it. There are various forms of intelligence, but if you cannot learn and you cannot understand anything, then you are obviously lacking in intelligence.
Intelligence has never really been about empathy or kindness, but if you can feel and extend compassion, it proves that you have a heart, which makes a person all the more human.
I would have to say hardship makes a person "intelligent." When faced with a problem you're forced to evaluate yourself and either overcome or be swept away. Either way, it helps to define you as a person and gives you a bit more insight into yourself.
It takes a woman to make a man intelligent and not in the comparative way where the woman is stupid!
Tru Fax: Princess Minako wrestled Jesus... and won
It takes intelligence to make a man intelligent. Intelligence is subjective. Therefore, the answer to your question is subjective.
Uh...
This is a signature...
Yeah.
Responsibility is more important than intelligence.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.
I'm guessing you aren't talking about intelligence in the way of IQ... I think "What makes a smart man" is a better title, because "smart" has a bit of a less direct meaning. I was about to start going on about how tricky it is to measure intelligence and dadadaada...

Intelligent... I'd say it was knowing stuff.
But if you mean 'smart', then I'd say a decent amount of common sense.
An intelligent man knows how to get away with being intelligent.
The Bell Curve dictates that this world is a lonely place for them, after all.
The rewards of tolerance are treachery and betrayal.
Their general logic, understanding, knowledge to recognise and know things in which they have been taught and past experiences.
It is quite hard to explain, but if you met me it would speak for itself.
That which is; is the truth.
I more or less think that common sense makes a person intelligent.
Without it, they're recklessly endangering themselves.
And they have thrill issues.

Hey...Can you stand on your head?
for me, a man is intelligent coz he likes to read a lot... knowing the facts all around the world.. LOL!^^

A mans intellegence is measured by his ability not to 'piss off' a member of the opposite sex.
Big thanks to Jagan Eye for making the sig, much appriciated ^.^
