    Default Vocaloid Music

I searched for a thread Regarding this, Found none so Went ahead.

Would Like to hear peoples opinions of Vocaloid Software and the Music behind it.

    For people that don't know what a Vocaloid is;
Vocaloid is a singing synthesizer application software developed by the Yamaha Corporation that enables users to synthesize singing by just typing in lyrics and melody.
Basically Artifical Voice, After listening to quite a Few songs Done by it, can't say I'm not impressed since it does an excellent job with some songs.

Here is one I found that I thought was good.

    +
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

So Anyway, I am Interested In what people's views of this type of Technology.

Edit: Changed Video...^^ .. Like Below post said it wasn't actually vocaloid... I didn't know enough Japanese to confirm it, when I was looking at it... So I assumed.. Feel Stupid now ^^

I have Vocaloid 2.0....O_O Including Rin and Ren's vocal - I think it's kinda suitable for making a rough melody for the songs you're composing....But overall it's not really suitable for guiding or publishing...(lol)
You probably won't approve this - I did Daia no Hana with Vocaloid and it turns out ...v.v....and have you ever hear Miku-miku sing Kesenai Tsumi? O_O
The music you have there is Caramelldansen Speedycake Remix XD...

Here's ....Hatsune Miku sings "Ievan Polkka"

And ...Kagamine Len - Return To Zero

Despite the weakness in these artificial voices...I think Vocaloid is by far the best and only(?) software allowing melody composing with artificial voices.

I've heard the Polkka Many times to say the last. Second one is new to me, Good to say the least ^^.

Just watching right now the Kesenai Tsumi Version Interesting also.

I would and wouldn't like to get the Vocaloid software... just don't really have the time to learn how to use it right now.

I think the vocoder is the only acceptable voice-synthesizer combination for finished music, and even then it should be used sparsely (or at least just in the background). Somebody should be singing, or else some of the more aggressive music fans (myself included) won't be able to argue about who the best vocalist is anymore. It'd be a little hard to 'perform' live using a vocaloid doohickey, too.
Microsoft Sam will sure be happy to make a musically gifted friend, though.

Mircosoft Sam would win hands down ^^

but ya I can't really see Vocaloid at least for awhile being used to compose music that isn't already finished.. at least that would create popular music.

I still think it has potential but like you said really shouldn't be used much.

Gotta like Hatsume Miku, the vocaloid programs are pretty nice, some pretty nice possibilities have came out of it.
