Counterfeit Anime Figures.

I knew those Death Note Nendoroid figures looked suspicious. There was a whole bunch of them for sale on ebay. See here:

Is the "dere-dere" Misa face supposed to have blush or is that just something on the box? Mine doesn't.

Not to mention, the necklace was missing, the box was smashed, the figure was dirty, the head wouldn't stay on, the paint on the eyes were scraped up, the paint job looked a bit messy... I could go on and on.

All described as "100% new!" and the pics they showed were obviously not the same figure.

It was cheap anyway, but I feel like kicking myself for falling for it.

Has this every happened to anyone?

well i did some searches and if you got the following figure then im guessing its real it doesnt seem to have any blush, but check the manufacturing company for comparison, i think it says GOOD SMILE COMPANY there... that sucks if you got a fake =__= ... also theres like 3 other versions of this character in nendoroid figures... heres 2 other ones http://i11.ebayimg.com/04/i/000/e6/a3/7aae_1.JPG ones missing in this pic...
id be mad if any of my figures were fake.. i doubt it though.. theyre all 1980s comic stuff ;D i dont collect them though i just play with em so i dont think id be too mad

I don't trust much from Ebay anymore really... So many things that are counterfeit and scams going on there its sickening.

Don't jump in head of yourself, not EVERYTHING is a scam. It's just more publicized than before. The majority are real people just trying to sell stuff they don't need.

I buy my anime statues and such from an official online UK anime based store, that even sells Pocky might I add. My Kogami Akira Nendoroid was amazing! (stirring trouble) ^_^

For the future I'd advise that you check all a sellers previous, especially negative recieved, feedback before you buy from them.
