Weakest Gundam???

Out of all the Gundams you know, which one do you think is the weakest??

In all of the Gundam shows?

For me, I think it'll be GP01 the non-upgraded mobile suit used by Kou Uraki, why? Too plain for me, unlike the other Gundams like RX-78, Strike Gundam and Impulse. They have that strong looks.

So out of curiousity, what's your opinion???

if you mean any gundam out of the whole gundam specy in all the universes, then any non-major gundam in Seed/Destiny (which has a LOT to choose from). if you're talking about the protagonist, then i think the first Victory gundam, cos it didn't really stand out in performance, only Uso made it superb, and it was at the last days of UC when only a small amount of resource is left in the universe

I use to watch all of the gundams but now i'm not to familiar with any of them anymore. The weakest I would have to say would be one of the older gundams that look like anything special. That always made me kinda mad to see how plain they looked.

I don't remember which series if was on, but the weakest has to be Ball Gundam. It was just a ball with one large cannon on top.

It shouldn't even be considered a Gundam.

The Ball was never actually a Gundam. In my opinion the weakest Gundam would have to be the original RX-78-2 in the Gundam novel series (not the anime adaption). It had notoriously weak armor (even weaker than the Guncannon) and was only really good in close combat.

For me, the weakest Gundam in terms of normal pilot (your average pilot without any special powers/talents and just relies on piloting skill) and terms of firepower from all the series that I've seen is Strike Gundam without its Strike Pack.

It's only equipped with head mounted CIWS and dual dagger and have limited power capacity. This limited the range of movement and attacking range. Not to mention the Phase Shift armour will drained the available power if the enemy smart enough to press a long distance attack on the suit. Also, if the suit is running on pre-installed OS, it just gonna be a large pile of very expensive scrap metal.

Agreed about the RX-78-2. Any of the "Origin" ones in prototype form- bothersome refits were needed.

Another addition in terms of weakest Gundam would have to be the RX-79[G] in MS terms they were rather powerful, but as Gundams they were downright pathetic.

Also, what's wrong with a plain looking Gundam. A plain looking Mecha can sometimes look absolutely awesome without having to rely on a 'gimmick'. My favorite Gundam design is the RX-178 Gundam Mk-II. It has no gimmicks to it but looks absolutely rocking.

Well, the weakest Gundam eh? It depends on how "Gundam" it has to be.

The weakest Gundam would be Papier Mache Turn A. Its basically Turn A Gundam made of cardboard. Yes, cardboard. However, we might rather be counting that one towards Cardboard figure rather than an actual Gundam.

Next up would be me, uh... I mean B Gundam, which was technically a Ball (even weaker, as the Gundam disguise made it off-balance which was BAD in zero gravity. Although it turned out good for the pilot). But technically thats a Ball, so it also falls out.

The weakest Gundam that is really a Gundam that comes to mind now would be... Ground Type Gundams from 8th MS Team. It totally qualifies in being a Gundam in every way, while at the same time, it has a hard time keeping on par with Zakus (UC ones, not SEED Destiny ones mind you). The only advantage they have over being constructed later than the original Gundam was weapon compability (various gear were invented for them), however, these Gundams are almost only Gundam by name, they had no advantages in being "Gundams", and pretty much could have just been replaced with Ground type GMs without making much a difference.

If less serious sources were allowed, then it would qualify Nise Gundam from the SD Gundam episode that spoofed Whacky Racers, but SD Gundams are more parody.

it depends on where it is physically, if ANY SEED unit was put in the UC universe, very few weapons would actually word due to minovsky particles(which where the only things that made MS a reasonable weapon)

w/o minovsky particles, RX-78, the only reason it lasted the whole war was Amuro

Leos are weak, but not Gundams. Gundam =/= Mecha, because though Gundams usually are mecha, not all mecha are Gundam.

Same with Guntank. Its not a Gundam.

If we start counting *any* mecha in Gundam, we might as well go get the unarmed worker mobile pod that became the Ball later on.

lol i see most of you guys saying the rx-78.. and i mean sure, that could be the case... if you just wanna pick the oldest gundam and call it the weakest..

but in comparison to each series, its really hard to do fairly..

theres really only one gundam i can think of that i really never had any liking for and i can really see as being the weakest gundam in the series, if not all time..

Gundam HeavyArms from Gundam Wing

sure hes equipped with a gauntlet of machine guns and missiles... but thats it.. once that gundam runs out of ammo, all it can do is rotate the empty slots. it has no real weapon other than those, and weve seen it happen in battle too, it runs out of ammo and what can it do? nothing..

so thats why heavyarms gets my vote

well considering that it was 5 gundams with human pilots vs. 100's and 100's of mobile dolls controlled by computers (and eventually the help of human consiousness on top of that) i would have to disagree (tho i do support as i mentioned above one of those gundams being the weakest)

the wing zero gundam was far superior to all of them along with the epyon and tallgeese, the operating system and speed alone could kill a normal human

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I'm not talking about the 5 gundams or the mobile dolls, I'm talking about the regular robot ones that the humans piloted. Kind of like the one that Czech uses against Heero in the first episode.
