Just now, as I was taking a cancer-stick break outside, I saw the moon. It was just above the horizon and blood red as a consequence. I figured it was a lunar eclipse, so I checked the wikipedia article on lunar eclipses. A lunar eclipse is scheduled in three days (August 16). I don't know if it was just the horizon this time, or if I could somehow see it earlier living closer to the pole. Whatever the cause, it was cool stuff.
So, since one is coming up in just a few days, I figured I'd inform people about it. It's visible in most of Europe, Africa, Asia and South America, Australia, Oceania and the very east-most part of North America.
