Has anyone ever trusted someone so much only to find out that person has been lying all the time? I have, and trust me, even if you straighten things out with that person, can you ever trust them again???

This has happened to me. I really trusted this one guy, and I thought he was there for me, as a friend, but later on, I found out from my other friend, that he never really thought of me as a friend. It was a very stressful month for me, when this occurred. I never straightened things out with him, nor am I still his friend.

Has happened. And I stupidly trusted them again. Like right now. She just can't get over herself! Sometimes I wonder why I still put up with it, only to realise that I only do it because she has no one else to hang out with.

Yes, but that was in my past. These days, I'm more careful and cautious around ppl. I've basically lost my trust in almost everyone, because the only person you can really trust is yourself(unless yourself is telling you to get drunk and accidentally kill someone ;>_>). My trust goes out to almost no one these days and I have my reasons why and believe me, these are good reasons too -folds arms- But there's one person I can always put my full trust in: my precious, wittle princess Jessi <33333 Yuppers, Cam just wuvs and fully trusts his wittle kitteh ^_^;;;

It hurts...

I thought that if I made my friend smile it would be worth it. I had a feeling things didn't seem as they always were. He gives fake smiles. He truely is the man of two faces. I wanted to BELIEVE that I could make a difference. Even if happiness was as short as 30 seconds it would be worth my whole heart. I give you all my wit and mind to be my friend and all I have in return is a fake smile. What hurts the most is that they hate people like me. The ones who don't notice the fake smiles. People like that make me break and feel worthless. It hurts to know that I was never a friend in his eyes. He truely is the man of two faces. He hasn't broken me. I just want him to learn that it's time to be honest to find the happiness he has been searching for. I hope I don't see him again. Words just won't come out of my mouth and I'd have no courage to look him in the eyes to say it hurts to be lied to when you're trying your best.

Yes it has happened to me.
She isn't my bestfriend anymore when she was I trusted her and then she decided to move schools.
Anyway on her last day she said she hated me.
I was at first confused and then sad.
She called me months later and asked why I didn't call of talk to her anymore.
I was so mad at her.
We haven't spoken since.

No. Although I have made someone trust me only to disappoint them.

We were playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl and we were waiting on that 'Animal Crossing' level for that dalmation to sing on his guitar, because it said that it happened in some Nintendo magazine if you went on the level at 8:30PM or something. So we were like "Okay, I promise I will not hit you while we wait". But then that 'Final Smash' item started floating around the arena so I couldn't help myself. I smashed it, got my final smash move, and slaughtered both my friends off the entire arena. They were like "OI! Okay that's it!!" and then we just carried on after that. I won the the match too believe it or not.

I had two boyfriends that both lied to me all the time. The one I kept forgiving and trusting until one day I just got fed up and said goodbye. Then he became a drugy and moved out of state to live with his drugy father. The other guy lied to me about his ex-girlfriend being pregnant so he could dump me and go back to her. We still are good friends I just will NEVER date him again. Now I put all that extra time into my relationship with my bestfriend of 6 years! She has never lied to me. EVER! I looves her!

I've had my very best friend lie to me about a lot of things.
I trusted her with all my secrets, everything. Then she lied to me about everything, and had a sexual affair with more than enough people, then lied straight to my face.
My opinion is...
Trust it very easy to keep, but extremely hard to get back once lost. If you lose trust in someone, its most likely, they'll never get it back. So the point is, don't lie, and you won't lost anyone's trust.

Well there's nothing in my life that demands I trust anyone. Even among my friends, I have kept them at a distance and remain closed. I don't think anyone has betrayed me before. I do tend to rely on myself, not wanting to bother anyone else.
Sometimes it can feel a little lonely though. No one understanding you except yourself.

It's hard to come by true friends these days.
Half of them act like people's friends, but end up yapping behind their backs like the mean people they are. Though, people don't have a lot of trust because of how society is also set up; yet there is always and I do mean always someone out there in the world that you could trust. Just be patient. :]

And, yes, that had happen to me before and I was very angry.

to be honest with you guys, i did a mistake like this before and
i was sorry and wanted that person's trust back to me cause i love her
but hey i'm not perfect, i do mistakes, and i learn from them.

Eh, it goes around a lot. Sooner or later people will have that sort of problem with trust.
I know trust has been a big issue for me right now, especially during times of becoming a teenager, starting school, and moving.
But I learn to get by, I've come to know when and when someone isn't lying, and knowing that helps me survive.
