Immortal or Mortal?

If you had only one chance in your life to become immortal would you do it? just curious. i would stay mortal. it's not worth living forever in a world that's going down in flames.

I agree Even if I want to be with the one I love forever, I just can't stand being immortal...this reminds me of a movie, but I don't quite remember >.<;;; I'd stick with being a mere mortal, but I would love to live just a little bit longer

I would stay mortal because staying alive for ever isn't as fun and exicting as it seems to be. there is going to be alot of things your not going to like if you live forever and maybe there is, but we all have to die eventually.

I kinda have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, living forever would be so cool. You get see how everything looks in the future and compare it to how it was back them. On the other hand, like some people said, you would be lonely 9 times out of 10 and would have to keep a low profile so as not to make anything seem suspicious.

I'd choose to be immortal. Though I'd want to be like... 21? Before I went immortal, seems to be a good age. I'd make a lot of fun for myself, maybe even become a super hero... travel the world, make a lot of money. Yes there would be complications but heck, I reckon it would be worth it.

Well some might think ' Oh yea, I live forever!!'. But, that isn't always a good thing. If you have someone you truely love, wouldn't you wanna live just till they do? Not to mention living forever just mean you'll have to go through more torment then others rite?

I want to know what stages the world goes through and what is to be of the future. I also would love to see if anything differs from now. I like the thought of living past the people around me in this day and age and getting through eternity on my own. I prefer being a loner although I never really get that chance in my life. Ofcourse I do not like the thought of out-living my family and other loved ones through many generations, especially if I were to have a loving wife and child, but this way I will see life for what it truely is and experience many things. I also want to out-live the world and say that I beat life! I want to see how it all ends and what awaits me after the worlds end. Even if it is just an eternity falling through space to find another planet, if so then I would love to know what awaits me there.

I could settle for a few thousand years of anime, until the world is destroyed, then it's suck, but so worth it.

I would remain mortal. It wouldn't be much fun after my close friends/family died. The world now seems to be going downhill as it is anyway. Also, it wasn't mentioned, but I'm sure that even if you're immortal, you could still feel both physical and emotional pain. Mortal for me.

Mortal. Why would you want to work the day the Earth falls and when humans are extinct. You'd have to work at a job, wait. Scratch that. You couldn't. Because when you don't age in 10 years, you might get away with plastic surgery. But dude. When it says you were born in 1990 and it's year 2500? you couldn't GET a job. And when are you suppose to go through your mid life crisis? You can't. So you're not meant to be immortal.
