1. FLCL, like it or hate it?
2. Did anyone ever completely, 100%, TOTALLY understand what the heck was going on? Seriously. I've seen the whole thing like 3 or 4 times and I'm still confused by it. But I think my confusion was part of the reason I liked it so much

FLCL is indeed superb. XD A total mind-rape but I enjoyed the ride! I don't think there'll ever be another FLCL in the anime world.

No, I didn't understand a thing. XD Well I know a few things involving characters and relationships...

Naota is a very lonely little boy who misses his big bro. He looks down on adults and older kids who act foolishly but he's pretty naive himself.
Haruko is insane. I have no idea what goes on in that girl's head. XD I wonder if she has any compassion...it's hard to tell which side of her is real...x_x I hope she geniunely cares about Naota like she shows sometimes...
Mamimi's a smoking delinquent who decided to hang all over a little kid because his brother was no longer there to love her, in essence, she was simply using him as a substitue. Mamimi seems very lonely as well. She's amazed by the robot Canti and seems interested in it.
First Naota didn't like Mamimi, then when she stopped hanging on him, he missed the attention and thought he liked her but then he realized he liked Haruko instead when she disappeared.
As wrong as it is, Naota and Haruko make an insanely cute couple and I support them. XD

I really liked it, even though most of the time I had no idea what was going on. Although a second watch does help it make more sense from my experience.

A superb series. One of the finest ever made . I understood what was going on. It does take some people a few run throughes to understand it fully but if you don't just sit back and enjoy one of the most beautiful and unique pieces of animation ever made. FLCL was primarily made to experiment with new animation styles so a lot of modern anime (and non Anime) owe's this series a lot.

Flcl was the best, it was interesting and probably one of the best anime's ever made. It actually kept your attention unlike alot of other anime's. It was kinda confusing, but i think i understood pretty much everything that was going on.

She is only using him for his head and N.O Channel to get to Atomsk, as he is able to channel Atomsk's power when he is with Canti (she wanted to use the N.O Channel to get Atomsk out of Medical Mechanica and merge with him, but did not realize that he was already "out"). Nothing more. Her only real focus is getting rid of Medical Mechanica and getting Atomsk's power. She is only messing with Naota's head. The more emotional Naota gets, the more likely that something will come out of Naota's head, as his mind is "unstable" because he tries to be an adult. And Naota only felt uncomfortable around Haruko when he didn't understand what she was doing. After she came back from her "vacation", he realized his feelings for her, although the feeling was not mutual.

And the thing with Naota's father? She did not do anything sexual to him. In the fourth episode, Kamon was actually "dead" for the majority of the episode. Before the events of the fourth episode started, Haruko tried to use Kamon's head as an N.O Channel. He happily agreed to do it, as he has a big crush on her. However, not only did his head not work, the hit he received from Haruko "killed" him. So the Kamon you see throughout the episode, even in the sex scenes (which might not have been sex), is actually a robot ("Robo-Kamon") that Haruko built to hide what she did and to get on Naota's nerves. Naota is not cooperating with Haruko, so Haruko hopes that when Naota sees her "fooling around" with his "father", he will become jealous and be more willing to work with her. Naota eventually finds his "dead" father (after destroying Robo-Kamon) and revives him with water.

its just an anime, focused on pervertedness,action,fiction woot!
some kids Normal life gets flipped inside out by some alien chick who ran him over and woops him with a bass guitar, and he ends up saving the world from her almost destroying it... all the inbetween stuff is just for the sessions ;D

A real roller coaster ride of a show. I enjoyed it, while at the same time I was confused like no one's business. It gave it more humor that way in some scenes, I guess, being random. ...Or was it even random at all? Other scenes were very touching and beautiful, full of variety.

Awww I think she cares about him a LITTLE bit. She did hug him a couple times (sincerely it seemed), she blushed when he confessed to her and she did say she'd come back when he gets older, right? ^_^

That is true. And I did find it adorable that Haruko blushed when Naota confessed his love for her. But I am not sure if she would actually come back (maybe to see if he actually grows up...). However, on more than one occasion, she was willing to let him get hurt to get what she wanted. In the fourth episode, she left him on top of Medical Mechanica while a satellite was hurtling toward Mabase (he was the beacon after all and she did not think that Naota would swing back). She only wanted to get Atomsk out of Medical Mechanica (again she did not realize that Atomsk had already gotten out). When Naota swung his "bat", she sensed that there was a connection between Atomsk and Naota and so rushed in to protect him. And in the last episode, she was willing to kill him to get Atomsk's power.

I will say this: she did care more about Naota at the end of the series than she did at the beginning.
