It was left unfinished to the discretion of its writers; I doubt if they'll continue the project of making it to season two. If they are to be produced after a long delay, it may no longer serve the purposes for which they were made to represent (the manga.. that is') in the first place.
Great anime better manga. Its still goinig on the manga but the anime is most likely over. Just like Djinni said.
