I'll admit that I'm a Japanophile.I don't think I'm Japanese or anything.I just love the culture and decide to embrace myself in it.I do tend to root for the Japanese guy,if there's a bunch of races,but I'd pick the American beforehand....what I'm biased.

Pengin chances are you saw was Otaku-no-video.I can assure not all Otaku are like that.I can assure you as I am one.

Acting out or rol playing your fav anime character in public is going too and if your acting out the wrong character you could hurt someone or get hurt and maybe even thrown in jail

Going too far... I'd say crossing the line would be when you start to fancy the characters. I don't mean that liking the character or having a favorite one is wrong- but when people get obsessed o.o It's downright weird I say.

That sounds like an interesting movie, but I haven't even heard of it. I watched in my Japanese class a couple weeks ago. I think the name was like オタクの楽園 or something like that. Whatever it was, it was pretty good.

I doubt your an otaku though. I don't want to be mean if you're proud or anything, but I'd like to see pictures of your room. I have to embarrassingly admit that I, too, am a little bit of a Japanophile. I wouldn't mind moving out there...

I honestly thinks it is going to far by repeating catch phrases from the show as your own in public. Believe it!........ I am now somewhat a hypocrite for doing that. even as a joke. XD

Yes, our Japanese teacher arrived 2 years ago. This August I'll be entering my third year of Japanese ._.;; She liked to customize our tests with anime character names. And sometimes she brings onigiri [I have a story to tell about musabi] and we eat that in class. We celebrate Valentines Day, White Day, Kimono Day and we have a sports day, usually the same day as kimono day.

I don't think that there's anything wrong with learning Japanese. I mean, as long as you're serious about it. Just don't act like a fan girl and only know a couple words and mispronounce every one (like "day-soo"). I'm learning Japanese, but I really want to be fluent. (After I learn Japanese, I'm learning Spanish. It's good to know a couple languages.)

I learned Spanish before Japanese .___. Spanish...to me...was harder than Japanese.

1. Learn Japaniese.
2. Getting married with a japaniese girl
3. Dressing cat ears for the wedding

There was this one time where my boyfriend and I ran into these people at the mall dressed up as Kiba and Hinata from Naruto. ._.; I think that's going too far. I mean, I wouldn't care if it was at an anime convention, or if it was Halloween... but at the mall in June? DX

I also think that it's going too far when you start acting like an anime character. For example, screaming "Dattebayo/Believe it!", or trying to act like L all the time. Luckily, I don't know anyone who acts like an anime character in real life.

Sadly,I took off 17 posters and left up one calendar,because I had company over.I have to put them up agian.And yeah,that is Otaku No Video/Otaku's video.I'm more of the western definition than the Japanese.The Japanese tend to have like 100 Action Figures.I have about 20-23.

Being an anime fan will never go too far for me. You should see my room. Countless DVD's, posters, PVC statues in every corner, OST's, and what's more is that their is still so much anime merchandise out there that I do not have but want. Other than that, I don't know. I'm no star-gazer.

when people cosplay and then buy really sharp naruto weapons at the convention and someone walking by and attack them like in the anime, that is taking way too far.
