Since I'm a lover of nature, I find the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 11th great! I love those!
I like the 1st one in the sense that the colors are well-matched, creating a wonderful combination of colors. The truck gives it a nice touch, by the way...
The 4th one is really simple, yet, very detailed. The semi-transparent moon seems good in the scene, though.
Can I tell you something? If you have Photoshop, you could always edit those pictures to beautify them, while maintaing the original one. Just thought I say that.
In the end, great pictures!

HOT DAMN!THAT'S LIKE HD HD!Do you live on a farm?Or did these come with the camera?I dunno. They're too good.
I think all the pictures look awesome. And I'm not just saying that because of what you said. lol. Is that camera the one the Ashton Kutcher does the commercial for? They look as good as the pics he was taking. If not what kind of camera is it?

Lol i would be embarrassed if i was using that camera. The one Ashton Kutcher was using was a simple point and shoot Nikon camera. It does not compare to DSLR (digital single lens reflection). I used, for thee photo's, the Canon EOS 40D.

Thank you for you comments. I do have photoshop CS3 but i just don't really have the time to get around to editing them. I should probably. Well more like i should. Thank you for your comments!

No i do not live on a farm lol. I live in southern california and no they did not come with the camera.
Nice ^^ I use the 30D all the time for my forensics class. I think they're pretty comparable, overall. I greatly prefer the 30D to the 10D, which is another option in class.
What sort of lens did you use?
Sadly (well not really) I use the kit lens. It is the 17-85MM IS USM lens. So far it takes pretty nice shots but i do want to upgrade to the 70-200mm IS USM F2.8. It is pricey but it is well worth it.
Nice ^^ We use 50mm most of the time due to the lack of distortion. I think it's worth it to go all-out for a lens. Costs more, yes, but it's going to make a huge difference in quality.
The 5th one is amazing! Very inspirational! =3
Excellent photos! I am highly impressed with all of these! My favorites are the second, fifth, and last photos. All three of those are among the best nature/scenery photos I've ever seen. The view in the second photo was amazing and the color of the flowers in the last photo was nice too.
The only bad things I see is that the photos were huge, but that's really just about it. I can tell this camera you have is made of pure awesomeness. The angles, lighting, pixel quality, and theme in each photo was brilliant! Very nice!

LOL. The pictures have such high quality! By the way, where did you take these? It looks beautiful.
Lard!
Het is heerlijk vet! Je most het eten!
the fire truck was taken while on the freeway. we have had a fire in the hills so that's where it was heading. The small lake is in this small gated community called Hope ranch. The hang glider was taken near Henry's beach and the other shots were take at a small pond at Westmont College.

I suggest you just get a point and shoot camera. If you are new to photography, don't go for the pro camera. Everyone needs to start somewhere meaning you may buy it and then say oh wait, i don't really want this anymore and you may return it. Just start easy with point and shoot and see where you want to take it from there. I started with the Canon A650 IS.
I like the 5th n the last. The 5th reminds me of my native country =). The last just looks really nice tho ^^(I'm bad with taking pictures even with some very expensive equips xP)
Back, by popular demand! Now with new avy.
Overall, the shots aren't bad. Looks like you're getting to know the camera. Definitely resize the photos 1024x768 or even 1600x1200 are a lot nicer for the web.
The hang-glider photo is interesting, but I wouldn't push the aperture to 18 on the 17-85 lens, anything past f11 is going to lose sharpness, and it shows in the full size. Opening up a bit more would've allowed you more shutter speed to work with as well.
Also avoid using Auto/Portrait/Landscape and similar settings. You never want to leave that sort of choice up to the camera. It's not a point and shoot, so don't treat it as such. Stick to M/Av/Tv modes, and learn how they operate.
The shots are nice, but you want to plan them out a bit more, the composition isn't always the best it could be. Good start tho, I look forward to seeing more of your work ^_^
Edit: 17-85 is a solid enough starter lens. The 70-200 2.8 IS is a great lens, but you have to know what you plan to use it for. In general it's too long for a walkaround for most people, and not long enough for anyone planning bird/wildlife photos, or even candid portraits.
