It is definitively Ryuk, I didn't like the whole premise of the Shinigamis falling in love with humans but it worked pretty well for the whole plot so I have nothing against Rem..

Ryuk. Cuz he was different from the other ones. When I say that I like Ryuk, my friends say: "How can you love Ryuk and L at the same time? If Ryuk didn't appear, L wouldn't die. He killed L indirectly." Come on, that's not it. Yeah, I adore L and he died but it wasn't Ryuk's fault. He did nothing to kill L.

My favorite shinigami is Ryuk.

There are only three shinigami who are introduced, although there are others who you see, but never do anything.
Out of these three, I like Ryuk the best. I never really liked Rem or Sidoh. Ryuk is also pretty funny. And he kills Light,
who I end up not liking anymore midway through the series. So that is another bonus.

Besides Ryuk, I think that shinigami who wears the headdress looks pretty cool, his name is Zellogi, according to Vol 13: How to Read.
