Vandread: Could A Real Gender War Happen?

Given the war twixt the males and females in Vandread, could a real gender war happen?

It could happen in a few hundred years. the world could be overpopulated and they would have to send out ships so that we could expand or something.

That's very unlikely...the two genders have no reason to hate each other...let alone kill.

I don't think that there would be a war between the genders in the future. If it hasn't now, considering that there was a time that women were not allowed to get a divorce, an abortion, vote in an election and work in the same fields of a man, then it probably won't happen.

However, if a war between the genders does happen, it will probably end up just like Vandread. Men will be born from capsules, eat crappy food and have to live on an industrial/military planet while women will live in a semi-utopia, be able to have food that actually sustains life and can actually have stable families

Basically that show or manga you're talking about is encouraging the idea that one gender is better then the other...which is so wrong.

Actually, many women think this way. The idea is that there is some X-factor in male leaders that causes them to do corrupt things and start wars under trivial terms. Some how if women were in charge none of it would ever happen. It makes for a good laugh for the average logical person.

I think something like that would be impossible cause I believe we will still depend on the normal method for making babies cause the method they used seemed no fun.

Also i'm not sure how some hatred like that would even come to be.

But the view is reverse. He says men will wipe out women, the mirror version of feminists' gender war fantasy.

On another website that I am a veteran of, AVEN, I saw this very interesting post from user Mimicking Sanity:

As much as I care, the Y chromosome is next to useless. It'd be brilliant for humanity to be free of such a pathetic, 'passive' chromosome.

However, I think that if it is a success, the low-brows will, like gorillas, beat their chest and yell. There'd be a bit more tension between males and females, as the brutes will fear their own inferiority. They're typically the people who place a lot of value on sex, and reproducing. Obviously, should the tests work, they'll not be needed for the continuation of the human race. Redundant.

Regardless, I doubt I'd care much for the immediate results of the tests, but I'm certain that I'll resent people even more if the indirect effect, which I've hastily mentioned above, happens.

I'm a pessimist by nature; I'll likely continue to expect the 'rivalry' between (General, not as individuals) males and females to only intensify.

Angry Harry also stated that if Western women become more like the man-hating leatherdykes, Western men will disempower them somehow in the next 50 years.

Because of all of this, I really think a gender war has a 40% chance of happening.

To be frank gender battle has existed through out all of history. However it exists mostly in emotional and mental warfare but not a massive scale of physical warfare, that is to say ever male in the country fighting every female but the occurence of some males doing and some female is event. what u probably could ask though is if the gender battles(war) will ever cease to exist.

....zero....
there can be some disputes as there has been and there are some disputes over gender issues but a full open war

in future is highly unlikely.... doesn't need proper explanation...it's just simple logical thing

....... without man or woman none can exist

What about the artifical womb that will come about in the next 40 years? It will happen without a doubt.

...even if that is the case you need a sample of men or women for the ultimate production,that is a child........anyway, if there are only men or if there are only female life would be pretty dull. I mean not all people can become gay or lesbian for instance. Life would be certainly dull without a man or woman beside your life, so only dumb-headed people

It is just opinion I suppose. I read on masculist forums that men could survive without women with the artifical womb whereas the opposite could never be true because women always wanted to depend on men throughout time.
