What would you do if you loved or were loved by someone across the world?

Do you go with your gut instinct and leave everything and go live with them?

Or

Do you give up all hope on that love??

Or

Do you wait and see what happens???

What would you do?

If i loved them, i would try everything possible to go there if they loved me back... i probably sell my useless items, for cash... Or, wait until i graduate from College, xD

I would probaly do everything I can to reach them. If they feel the same way we are destined to be together and I would fight to reach that person.

First I'd wait to make sure that they're the one I want to be with, no sense in making rash decisions without being sure. If I was sure they were the one for me and if given the chance, yeah I'd probably drop everything and move across the world to be with them.

You really can't leave everything behind obviously, because how would you support yourself? Unless your "Loved" one is supporting you, but how will you deal being away from your family? You gotta think these things through before you make a decision, and just because you two say you love each other over the internet doesn't mean it'll be the same when you actually meet the person face to face, sure it'll be fun at first, but what happens when you two break up? Now what? You left everything and now you got nothing, how do you plan on going back home?

You can't really base if you love somebody just because the two of you supposedly have a "connection" the only connection you two have are the wires you have connected to your computer. It takes alot more than saying "I love you." to convince a person to be with you no matter what. It's way deeper than that...

I have a slight idea of what true love really is, but I won't go into that unless someone wants to know, but there's alot of things one needs to think about before deciding to change their life completely. But that's just me.

well, i wouldn't leave EVERYTHING behind. that would be sort of stupid (no offense!) but, if they were really that special to me, then i would pack my bags first and then head off to see them.

well i wouldn't take it that serious because he would live all the way across the world so i would just wait and see what happens. if it got serious enough then maybe we would talk.

It depends. If I had enough money, then I'd leave and go see them, but if I don't, then they'd have to come to me instead. If they don't come to me, then I'd just forget about it.

Well, I believe that if I really loved that person across the world, I would do everything I could to get to them.

However, being the young high school student that I am, my parents would never allow it.
In that situation I would just decide that I'd go to them when I graduated, even if it ment I had to start saving all my money from now until then in order to get there.

If that person also loved me too, I would be much more motivated to go then if they did not.
However, even if they didn't love me, I would still make plans to go where they were even if it was just to be able to be near them.

Perhaps I am one of those people who would be blinded by love?

I was. It didn't work out.

I would have to wait about 4 years to see him next and the plan was that he would come live with me. Well, he's still coming here, but we're not getting back together.

What do you mean by do you give up all hope? Hmmm, I got annoyed at him. It was more of a personality crisis, not a distance thing.

I waited to see what would happened...and then broke up with him.

Um. So first you meet, decide if there's a future and whatnot. Then you meet as many times as possible until you just can't take the distance any longer and one or both of you move closer. No avoiding it. Someone has to move or the relationship will end.

I did all that, moved permanently to Australia to be with my husband, and we're fine and dandy. It amuses me that people think it's impossible. It's not, it just takes a lot of work and a lot of willpower.
