Today is the day I'm graduating from college. In the ending days of June '07, I began attending the Vancouver Film School (hereby referred to as 'VFS'). Now, one year later, I'm graduating with a diploma in Game Design. It's been a very long year, full of many trials and tribulations; many long nights, and many more all nighters. The staff say that my graduating class of GD09 is the best group the Game Design course as seen go through it. We've produced the best speakers, the best projects, and the best results. We're the first group to have used the Unreal 3 Editor and make a full game out of it in just 3 months. Because of that fact, my class has pushed the Unreal Tournament mod community in more ways than VFS has ever done in its past. We've been able to make a shield convert energy so a gun (which can talk) can shoot multiple ammo types; we've made a full-conversion cel-shaded action platformer with a third-person camera system in a realistic-rendering First Person Shooter engine; we've made a virtual world where a gun can phase objects in and out of existence, or pin an enemy against the wall. We've also been able to create realistic physics inside of a Flash based environment.
The only thing we have left to do is to break into the Video Game Industry and design the next AAA release title to hit the world.
PS; In case you're wondering where my name comes from...

Good luck to all those who are coming up on their own graduations, or applying to future schools.
I hope to see you in the future.
