Post your favorite films (a motivation would be nice, doesn't have to be much). Discuss other people's picks. Simple as that.

My partial list (I always forget a bunch):

• 2001: A space odyssey. It's epic. Probably the best sci-fi film ever made.
• A Clockwork Orange. Also great.
• Pulp Fiction. I can't help but love Tarantino.
• The IPCRESS File + the other Harry Palmer films. Best spy film ever made. The sequels were a bit meh, but still beats Bond.
• Pi.
• Falling Down. I can associate to this film.
• The Blob (50's version)
• THEM!
• The Day of the Triffids.
• From Dusk 'til Dawn.
• Hogfather. It's great, albeit cheesy.
• Any film with Steven Segal.
