well...it's way too detailed, and it seems more like a professionals job then a fanart, that's why I thought it's from an anime or maybe manga if not anime

well...ok...then how about this. I downloaded it from a torrent entitled anime wallpapers or something like that, and frankly 80% from the pics there I recognised being form different animes

That was barely English but I think I understand what you meant to say. Did you get this from the sister site, www.animewallpapers.com? If you did that doesn't mean it's not fanart, yes? I think it would have to be fanart of an anime though. Hmm..

hm...I dunno about the english part, I kinda thought I was pretty good in english, but I'll try to explain it so you undestand:

I dunno if you ever heard about torrents: those are p2p (peer to peer) connections. so I downloaded a pack of pictures, entitled anime wallpapers or something like that, and most of the images in that pack were from different animes (like Blood+, Elfen Lied, Ghost in the Shell, Bleach, Hellsing and others), but there are a few wallpapers I cannot identify, and especially I was interested in this one, that why I posted this topic.

also if you want I can upload the other wallpapers that I dunno from what animes they are, and if you recognise any of them then tell me

You know ... even if this wallpaper was among others that have an anime, that doesn't mean this has an anime too.
From the looks of it, it's just an original art imo.

I tried looking for Minty Designs, but either they don't have enough sites linking to them, or the website no longer exists. Anyways, it's categorized in a section called Ys on Megatokyo.

I can't find anything about a character named "Black Savior" in any of the resources, so the only factor that suggests this character is in the anime Ys (ANN says there are only 3 OVA's) is that the wallpaper uploaded on Minitokyo put it in the Ys category. Let me quote the comment made by the uploader Septillion:

"I don't know about this series, so once again this wall is most likely unrelated to the series...."

Take with a grain of salt imo.

There's the artist credit zoomed at 600%, and with levels adjusted, with a desaturation. All of my searches for the terms GL, GR, GIL, GIR, and MINTY GRAPHICS, come up nil. The closest I get is this angelfire page, but those lost all popularity around 5 years ago, when the wallpaper (if Minitokyo's statistics are correct) was made only 3 years ago.

The link it goes to is dead, but again, this is the only trace that any website named Minty Graphics ever existed.


And that's all I could find, sorry. You can either waste a ton of money buying all three OVA's or just be happy with the art. If you ask me though, I think it looks like an original art piece to me though (e.g. something someone drew up and placed on a site such as DeviantART), not fan art of a character from an already existing show. It just doesn't look like a character design most animes would use.


*EDIT* Also, why I'm looking for Minty Graphics so feverishly, is because that's the place where there's the highest chance of a credit to the artist being listed.

and cause of the design of the char I was interested in finding out from what anime it is, cause it really looks a little missplaced from the anime world.

Im not at all sure about these but the third one reminds me of the samurai class of warriors from the game Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. However, even the detailed drawsing of the characters werent that detailed or in the same style. So if it is indeed a relation to Disgaea, then its fan art but its more than likely an original art piece.

The hair in number five reminds me of one of the characters from Fate Stay Night, however, thats about the only relevence. The clothes form the character are blue and she doesnt wear a mask...not to mention that the clothing is different in general. So once again, Im gonna have to say its probably an original art piece.

Im actually gonna have to say that all of these are probably original art pieces with no real relevance to any anime series. They could very well just be works that people did on their own without any outside source to a specific anime or character.

These are a little easier. Number 1 is not from an anime, but those are artworks of characters from a game series called Magna Carta.

Number 2....again, all threads lead to minitokyo. imanimations.net no longer exists, and Kenzuke's works can now only be found on minitokyo. The stock is just merely listed as a work of artist You Higuri. She has several manga released, but only one has been adapted to anime (Gakuen Heaven), and the only other manga that has a wikipedia page is Cantarella. Just to note, apparently most of her work has heavy yaoi content.

Number 3 - AGAIN with the minitokyo. Filed under Unknown, seems like a dead end. I'd have to resort to places like /r/ for this, and I don't really think that'd get me anywhere. If you ask me, it looks something that might be from School Rumble, but I'm very positive I'm wrong.

Number 7 - Found this Jinzhou's guy deviantART, but it's empty. All that's there are links to raveanime and minitokyo (I'm starting to see a trend here). Raveanime, like every other site apparently, is gone, so all I have to work with was his minitokyo profile. The work is listed as unknown. Hmmmm, a super short skirt, stocking, and a cloak, plus the most hideously inefficient weapon I've ever seen....I've got nothing, sorry.

dammit...how could've I forgotten about Fate/Stay Night??? tho as Zanethose has already mentioned Saber doesn't wear a mask in the series and her clothing is blue instead of black (but the clothing is the same as in the wallpaper, just the color differ), and Rider...well she appears in only 2 or 3 episodes (maybe that's why I didn't recognize her)
