Injuries?

So i am like extremely bored because i dislocated my knee yesterday during PT, and the DOC said i couldn't do anything requiring me to stand for like a month. At first i was infuriated cause i love doing PT, and road marches and stuff. SO me and DOC haggled and i got my no standing profile lowered to like two weeks. Im still angry but its better then nothing. What makes me mad is he wouldn't even let me participate in the 12mile ruck march this morning...man i was so angry i at least wanted to be a road guard or something...Arg an injurie has never angered me so much.


So i made this topic cause i wanted to find out if anyone else has ever had an injurie that hampered there life so much it just made you want to amputate the darned thing...Plus i like hearing about people injuring them selves.

i minorly injured my fingers, so i couldn't use them for like a week. It was really hard for me to play the piano, but somehow i did it ^^. But now im okay and i can play at normal speed again. Well, i guess i never had any major injuries...

The only injuries I get are from doing things incorrectly or from punching random things >.> My latest injury was earlier today, when I was all excited that school was over. I jumped of a flight of stairs, but my landing was off, and I injured myself >.<; The shock felt like electricity surging through my lower body in that brief second 0_o; But I admit to never breaking a bone, and I intend to keep it that way!! xD

Lets see here, Ive had 3, no 5 concusions.
- Took a baseball straight to the face
- Hit the back of my head when attempting to swing jump over a platform.
- Got hit in the face/head with a baseball bat that my brother lost hold of.
- Took a bad hit during football practice
- Got sucker punched by a 300 pound 7 foot tall guy

Broke my foot playing basketball in PE after getting tripped up by another player. Broke three bones in the center of my foot, I went through the rest of the day at school. Went home, walked from the bus stop to my house, then didnt go the the hospital till about 9 o'clock at night after saying to my dad "I think I messed my foot up at school today". When he looked at it it was swollen up so much I couldnt put any shoes on.

Had my appendix taken out, didnt get in to the doctor to do it untill about midnight. They said if I had waited another hour it would have ruptured.

Eye surgery back when I was in 2nd grade for nestigmatism, shakey eye syndrome, they cut away the mussels on one side of my eye to compensate for them looking straight forward. I still suffer from it a bit, and they cant do anything about it, cut out all that they could during that operation.

Played hit for hit for an hour and a half with a friend, my whole upper arm became bruised all the way around. Went into the hospital to get it checked out when I started to notice I couldnt feel my finger tips a day latter, they where worried it might be compartment syndrome, but feeling came back to my fingers and the bruise went away. I lost the pictures I had of it which makes me really mad.

And last but not least I have the joy of suffering from migrains, which can take me out for 2 days or more if I dont catch them quick and pump myself full of pain killers.

I was doing the shopping carts stunt from the CKY videos with some friends. One time doing it I came flying out and hit a tree with my shoulder, hurt the tree more then me, and another time I didnt completely clear the basket, hit my legs on the front of the cart, caught and flip my face right into the dirt.

The most I have ever done was pull a muscle. I have never broken a bone in my body. Actually that is a lie, did you know it is a fact that your little toe breaks about 5 times a year, it is just that it is so small you cannot feel it.

The worst type of injury is when you are winded from being hit in the back by something and you cannot breath. That is a scarey thing to go through. Oh and once I nearly choked to death on Milkshake but that is not really an injury.

I need tommy john elbow surgery on my right elbow and an arthroscopic surgery on both knees lol . . both of those would take a year to recover so im holding off on em lol ^^;;; but because of that in baseball ive gone from an awesome starter to a closer. . . it sucks

I'v had a few injuries when I was smaller. Falling off my bike and such. I've also had my hand slamed in the car door which made it hard to write for about a week. And I had shoes that cut the back of my heels which made them hurt whenever I waked or stood. I couldn't really wear anything except slippers until they healed...

I broke three, maybe four toes a couple years ago... Because I accidently kicked a desk. >.>; It's usually tolerable if you just break one but I found that when you break a few, you can't even move them without sending a shock up your leg -.- Other than that I've never broken a bone in my body, just sprains and stuff.

When I was like 3 years old, I toppled over and hit my forehead on a small plastic rooster I had in my hand. I went to the hospital, and they put a band aid on the wound. I still have a small scar where it hit. You really can't see it, but you can feel a small indentation.

When I was 14 on my way to the Optometrist I tripped on a crack in the sidewalk and ripped the flesh on both my knee caps. I couldn't reschedule my appointment so I had to sit in the waiting room to get my new glasses with bloody and excruciatingly painful knees. Though I did get some joy out of my mom gagging when she heard the flesh tear =P

I also had my hand slammed in a car door. This, in my opinion, is one of the suckiest things that will ever happen to you. I couldn't write for close to a month because the impact was more on skin than nails, so blood collected and hardened under my nails and it was oh so painful. They needed to be drained of the blood, which was like "omg pass out" painful. Fo' realz.

Actually, I've never broken a bone in my body, but I have always made myself bleed or given myself concussion.

ive never really had many serious injuries, and id nevered broken a bone up until the start of this school year. when you enter 6th form, games seem to get violent, basketball - broken finger, hockey - broken toe, and i broke my arm, but i cant remember how...

I am another victim of that. It was all my Mothers fault too. I remember I was only about 5 or younger but I have never forgotten that incident. I do not really remember the pain, but I can imagine it. It must have hurt for me to still remember that one time about 14 years ago. Seriously though people, I do not recommend you getting your hand slammed and shut on by a car door.

Ohh speaking of hand injuries...

About two years ago i crushed my finger while putting an 85lb weight back on the rack. Fingernail left skin, bone snapped, blood everywere. Horrible pain, lots of blood and one very white faced guy. Yea everyone thought i had gone into shock cause someone said i said i was going to "go to the doctor now" and sat down. Yea i cant handle my own blood. Doc said it was na open crushed fracture, and had this huge bulcky splint/cast thing on it fo rlie tow months. Everytime i brushed it onanything my whole rigth arm exploded in pain. another month of my life ruined because of injurying my self.

I read the OP post twice, and both times I couldn't help but think "Typical Army" .. and it wasn't in a good way. More in the "army block head" way.

Yeah, a dislocated knee. You would have been real good to go on that 15km rucksack march. You would have been left behind after the first 300m, not to mention (and here is where the "army blockhead" thought comes into play) there is no way you could have walked that far/fast let along carry a ruck on your back, if your knee is truly dislocated as your medical staff seem to think it is.

And yeah, damn that DOC for not letting you at least be a road guard. How dare he look out for you? Not to mention that had he cleared you to do even that, and you somehow aggrivated the injury, the military could easily have been held responsible and be held accountable since you were given the green light to participate with the injury.

Typical army mentality.

And on the topic, I have torn the same MCL (ligament) on my left knee three times, and torn the meniscus on the same knee twice (both times some parts had to be shaved away). All this was a result of army training. I can run and walk on my knee now, but not for extended periods of time. It takes a lot of tolerance and grit just to get through the annual BFT to keep me employed.

I've fallen down the stairs and somehow hit my eye when I was little and also dislocated my shoulder.

I cant believe I forgot this. When I was, oh Id say 10, I got in a fight with my older sister. She threw our cat, yes she threw a cat at me, down the stairs at me, it scratched up my face, leaving a scar under my noes. It was the night of the Elementary Sock Hop and everyone thought I had a bloody noes.

I hadnt gotten injures that has made me go to the hospital but just like you, Broly3k8, I dislocated my knee but it popped back into place. It hurt like crazy. I was limping all day. It happend to me three times.

Lol, like hearing people injure themselves xD nice.
I wouldn't say 'injured', cuz i don't have any of them that serious, like broke a bone and stuff ...wait, yeah, I've almost broke my pinky once =] ..but anyways, hitting into stuff, falling is kinda normal now -.- just now I ... *forgot to write in blog x.x; *
The only time I seriously couldn't walk with 1 feet was when I jumped to the pool, landed 1 foot on that metal stairs whatever you call it, and yeah, very painful ><

my most serious injury was when i broke the two bones in my my arm.
The other was more of a muscle injury i think, it was on my knee. I wasn't able to walk much for 2 months or something -_-'.
