Screwed over by a bank

Who here has ever had a bank open them accounts or order them credit cards when you haven't requested it? If so, which bank.

I had 1000 dollars go missing from my account. I was like WTH! Yeah, i showed all my transactions and it showed no withdrawal of 1000$ so basically they were idiots and were like we'll get back to you just be patient.

Are you quite sure it was the bank? Could have been a hustler. It's a fairly common hustle to riffle through someone's garbage for those pre-filled credit card applications people so readily throw away, and use them to get credit cards in someone else's name.

I work at a bank. I've seen co-workers at other location open accounts for some one when they don't request it, because they need to make their sales quota. I was just wondering if anyone has been a victim of this, because I see it way too often.

I haven't, but i do enjoy it when they up my credit card limit.

It's not the bank, but Miscrosoft in my case. I do not even really go online anymore..

I forgot the name for that. Was it garbage diving? I think it was that. That's why everyone should use a shredder for anything with your name on.

I canceled my bank card once, I called Wells Fargo, told them it was stolen. Twice. They said they canceled my card, the only way I could withdrawl money was from writing a personal check.

They failed. My card was not canceled, and my ex-boyfriend used it to withdrawl over 700 dollars in a week. They then apologized for that, canceled out all of the money he had spent, and then slapped me with a 200 dollar fine, for overdrafts.

Even though I told them to cancel my card, I still am in debt and cannot get another bank card, because they are making me pay for his over drafts.

Banks are jerks. I have an account at a locally run-and-operated bank, but before that, it was the young american's bank for children. They charged a 12 percent fee on any coins that amount to over 20 dollars. A CHILDRENS BANK!!!! That is severely wrong
