Not exactly a lamppost, more like a pole. The cafeteria at our school has thick poles scattered around that magically blend in sometimes. My friend and I were walking through the cafeteria to the library 9th period (this was after the staff had cleared out all the chairs and tables), and she was looking at me while talking. I saw the pole come in to my line of view and I knew she was on a collision course with it. The thing is, I didn't say anything!

So yeah, she caught herself in time by just lightly bumping into it, much to my disappointment.

Yes, and not just lampposts: glass doors, people, etc. Kept doing it until my parents noticed that I needed glasses.

No to the question, but there was a time my little brothers and cousins dug a hole concealed with cardboard and dirt about waist deep that I fell right into.

It was... very disconcerting.
