Pink Floyd

Well for those of you who don't know pink flyod, there are a prog rock band from the late 60's early 70's. Some famous songs are Another brick in the wall, Time, Money, Wish you were here. My favorite song of there's is without a doubt wish you were here. There pretty easy to find in most music stores, but anything from the earier years with Syd is hard to find. Don't execpt to see them in concert the've broken up. The band line up is: David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Nick Manson, and Mick Avory and Syd Barrett but he left, and we leave it at that. Well let the discussion begin and I have one question: "Do you think you can tell heaven from hell?

Dark Side, WYWH, Animals, and Pipers are all amazing albums without question. I love this band. Too bad Waters and Gilmour had such stupidly large egos.

P.S. Atom Heart Mother = seriously underrated.

I will admit to being surprised to see this here...

Pink Floyd are without a doubt awesome. My favourite song is Comfortable Numb, but i do have a soft spot for High Hopes and Time.

Particularly good if you just wanna lie back and listen.

My favorite albums of theirs are The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, and the underrated Meddle. I'm not a fan of most of their work after Wish You Were Here, particularly The Wall (though I enjoyed the movie somewhat) and The Final Cut, though I've felt like giving Animals another spin recently.

I also have to check out their debut sometime, since it's supposed to be excellent and I've liked most of the songs I've heard from it. I have A Saucerful of Secrets, their second album, and that's got some pretty good songs on it, too. Their stuff inbetween Saucerful and Meddle seems really hit-or-miss.


Also, one minor complaint... Mick Avory isn't part of Pink Floyd, he's the drummer for The Kinks. Nick Mason (who you mentioned) is the drummer for Pink Floyd; the bandmember you forgot was Richard Wright, their keyboardist and pianist (and occasional songwriter, I think).

Well, Pink Floyd are awesome, i preferred pink floyd after syd barret, although they were awesome with him, they just seemed to get better, my favorite album has to be dark side of the moon, thats a timeless classic. My fav songs gotta be "Comfortably numb" "Shine on you crazy diamond" "Us and Them" and "Money"

Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands aswell. If you want to fly than "Welcome To The Machine" will embark you ^^

Floyd could be called the best band of all time, there music is amazing and you can really get into it but I think the wall album was incredible.
