So, what do you think is overrated?? Examples: You know: books, movies, legends, places, or people.
I can't really think of anything overrated right now, I'll have to get back to you on that

I think that society itself is overrated and exaggerated. Also, many forms of entertainment.
Lesbian porn.
Human intelligence.
I think many things are overrated due to their marketing and hype. Obvious ones such as cell phones and reality tv are a given but one place that is horrible for being overrated is the video game industry. so many titles although good are disgustingly overrated to the point where people can no longer see any flaw and are called haters or fanboys for seeing one. final fantasy 7 is my favorite final fantasy tied with 8. Still though the game is ridiculously overrated and has many short comings at times.

In my opinion, the Nintendo Wii is very overrated. It's only got a few good games, like Twilight Princess and Brawl. Nearly all of it's third party games are garbage. Plus the lack of hi-def graphics really makes it's games look weak compared to the 360 and PS3. But yet it's still clobbering every other console in hardware sales.
Also, I think chocolate is overrated! Strawberry is the way to go!

Personally I think anime is overrated. There are some good titles out there but lets face it. A great majority of it is rubbish.
I also think poetry is overrated. While I appreciate the imagery can be great in some poems. I don't think that it is the same art form that it can be made out to be.
Contemporary Art is overrated, I don't think a few paper plates impaled on a spear is anything to write home about.
The movie Juno is overrated. While Ellen Page as a whole is an okay young actress, the comedy, wit and characters were just a hodgepodge of old 90's MTV animated shows combined with Napoleon Dynamite with a bit of teen pregnancy to give it the illusion of depth.
Both Jessica Alba and Kirsten Dunst are disgustingly overrated as actresses.
That's all I can think of for now.

probably most anime titles. I have a lot of favorites but I don't really like some of it even if they're considered top.
Life is also overrated. This, I believe.

Athletes are overrated; they get paid too much. Give it to the doctors or someone who actually deserves it.
Art is also overrated. I can never take anyone seriously when they say that a painting "speaks to them". Sure, some paintings look cool, but that's the extent of it.
I also think that coffee is overrated. I don't understand the people who claim they "need it" to get up in the morning.
Naruto (Anime), Gaara and L from Death Note.
All the things that I find the best are underrated which I find a big shame, such as; Trusty Bell, Gunslinger Girl, GunXSword, Read or Die, the lovely Lumiere and Lolicon. I often find that Hentai is not as popular as it should be too. But I can overrate that by myself! XD
