Waluigi's cool too I guess, but he hasn't gotten as much characterization as Wario.
Yeah, that's my problem with Waluigi. He's just Luigi but purple.
Nintendo really needs to give him his own game and flesh the character out.
Yes-they need to flesh him out more. Great character potential is there.
Okay, after reading Waluigi's Mariowiki page, I'm changing my vote to him.
He seems like a pretty cool guy after reading that.
Yes. I guess right now they haven't come up with any good ideas for platformers yet-that's why Waluigi is still showing up in sports games. The only game so far in which he played a key role in was DDR: Mario Mix.
Well he's not really the platformer type. They're making him less running and jumping and fighting and more precision and finesse.
Apparently in Mario & Sonic he's the only character with a perfect 10 Technical score, making him better for stuff like Archery and Swimming in which your form and accuracy are at least as -- if not more -- important than how strong you are.
Hence why DDR was perfect for him as a notable villian.

So a crafty type wouldn't work in a platformer? All those moves he has in sports games would be ideal for a platfromer.
To me, Waluigi is a character whose sole purpose is to serve as a partner to Wario in spin-off games. Until he actually stars in a main Mario game or gets his own series, Wario is the better man. It's also shown in SSBB, where Wario got a playable role, but Waluigi is only an assist trophy.
Well no, I guess I phrased it wrong. More like they're making him out to be athletic, but not combative. Like, a swimmer is athletic and could probably throw a decent punch or kick, but still wouldn't necessarily be good in an actual fight.
Wario, by comparison, is a brawler, as evidenced by most of his (actual fighting)moves in his platform games.
They'd put him in a game with Wario first before they give him a solo game.
Wario is about getting money.
Waluigi is about enterprizing and global domination.
Waluigi would work in an adventure game.

Truth, as Wario looted his money from pirates, fairies, and the gaming industry while Waluigi is hinted to have ties to the Wrecking Crew games' antagonist, who works in construction which is a very lucrative field.
