Do you care?

Do you save water, electricity, recycle, throw litter around the street, throw a lot of food... Do you leave your electronics sucking power even if they're not used? Or leave the water running while you put some tooth paste on your brush, then brush for a minute or two... Or cook a pile of food that you throw away after no one ate it? Also, do you buy too much food that you eventually throw cuz it's rotten?

Do you save what can be saved?

Look, I do as much as I want to do to the extent that I find sensible to do.
I drive as much as I can pay for gas. I recycle as much as is convenient for me. I use as much electricity as I'm willing to pay.

Every bulb in the house is fluorescent, hardly ever waste food, and use large plastic grocery bags left over from shopping for garbage bags!
Actually all of those are done to save $ not the environment
So yes I do save what can be saved but not for the same reason

I understand that our world has limited resources thats why I take advantage of the resources available to me as much as I can. I am a very conservative person!

I only recycle, and only because if you put organic waste into the non recyclable wheelie bin and bin men check, they have the power to not empty your bin, so it would be another 2 weeks before it would get emptied.

i try to but most of the time i forget and leave a light on or something. although, i tend to sit in the dark anyway. so i guess that saves some power

I save water because I have to. We have 4 minute showers and aim at 140L per person per day. Water restrictions doesn't boost morale but it's not that bad or hard.


EDIT : I don't see the need to save water in some countries. We only broke a 10 year drought this year but I know that other countries wish they could have a year drought.

No, I don't really care. I'm more worried about money then saving the Earth, considering many alternatives to help 'save' the Earth are more expensive. I.E. solar panels. Bleh.

Meh, I don't litter and I annoy the heck out of someone if I see them do it. I'll pick up trash if I'm walking around out side but I'm not as bad about it as my fiancé, when we went to the Frio River he collected all the trash he came across in his tube, by the end his tube was completely filled with nasty trash. 0_o I <3 him for it though.

I save but its not like the people I live with do. They cook things to the point where its too burned for some of us to eat and ends up being thrown out. We aren't much for water savers but we drink more bottled water than tap. A lot of us leave electronics running.. I turn off the power switch so my plugs don't burn out but a lot of them forget to turn off the computer or leave the lights and TV on etc. And we cant afford a lot of food.. The most that would go rotten is fruit that didn't taste great in the first place.. Littering annoys the heck out of me especially if I see it while camping. >.<

Unlike many, I am still always very greatful for living in a free country and hate disrespecting that as I know their are people out there having a much much harder time than I, which is why I like to help the community more and try doing what should be done to try keep the country in a satisfactory condition.

I do care it's just I don't think it's sanitary to pick up someone elses trash from off the ground. But, I do like saving energy and stuff like that; I'm a Global Warming fanatic!!

Recycling is about the only good thing I do 0_o; Other than that, I don't do my best to save water, or electricity 0.0 Sorry Nobody I know ever does their best to conserve anything, they act as if electricity grows on trees and water is limitless and it doesn't matter if ya waste it O.O;

• Save water -- because where I live we have an abundance of fresh water.
• Save electricity -- because I have my electricity bill built into my rent, and it's always the same size.
• Recycle -- because it's got a negligible effect. Often the energy it takes to recycle is greater than the energy it takes to replace the product, meaning that it's worse for nature to recycle most everything but plastic bottles.
• Shop locally grown food -- because the energy it takes to grow crops up here in cold Sweden exceeds the energy required to transport it from central Europe.

I save whatever I can because I know that oil might run out in a few years. Some people only care about money (I'm not talking about any AF member, maybe politicians) and do not try to help the environment. Instead, they fight for money! That's what makes me save whatever resources I can!

I recycle, save water, electricity, but i do some times litter, but if i still see the thing on the ground I pick it up and put it in a trash bag. O0o0o0o0o0o and some times my friends carpool with me so we save the environment too. Yay!

My parents hate my ideals...but we used to recycle aluminum (sp) in Florida, but it was only around .10 per pound, so we stopped doing that when we moved to Kentucky.

For paper...my family refuses to pay $20+ a month just to have some dumptruck come out here and lift our trash, when we can just haul it out to the dumpsters at Family Dollar for free...ish [mom is manager there], so at school, at the end of the year, I empty out my binders into the paper recycling box. I yell at teachers that just wad up papers and throw them away or shed. I don't care if it does have someones full name on there, don't shred and throw away, you could at least just shred and recycle -_-;;

I suppose I do for a few reasons. Firstly I'm from suffolk over 75% of which is farmland, woodland or Marshland so I am concious of nature and do my best to preserve it. Also I live alone so sucking up water and electric would mean my bills would be huge so I can't afford to that.
