I built a wall... not to block anyone out, but to seewho will ever love me enough.... to climb over it.
tooo many words meaning thief in the japanese language... so choose one i guess lol...
nusubito/nusutto - Thief
dorobou - Thief, theft, robber
touzoku - Thief, Robber
kusemono - villain, thief, suspicious fellow
sozoku - petty thief
toorima - phantom thief
kaitou - Mysterious (phantom) thief
akisu/akisunerai/ - Sneaky thief
hirutonbi - sneaky thief
kosodoro - Sneaky thief
jidoushadoro - car thief
kantanshi - Bedroom Thief
shinobi - spy, sneaky thief
dorobou is the best translation for a thief I think, though the guy above me pretty much covered it.
"A man can't just live on carbohydrates alone..." - Spike Spegiel (Cowboy Bebop)
Thanx guys!
I think it's either:
touzoku - Thief, Robber, or kaitou - Mysterious (phantom) thief.
I boubt it's dorobou if it means- Thief, theft, robber.
Still, thanx for your input "Yujiro Hanma"!
Thanx!

I'd put my money on Kaitou, since the Japanese love their Kaitou.... every detective show (and quite a few others) has one, it seems... And usually, they're just called Kaitou, or Kaitou *something*.
A Kaitou is usually more... "sophisticated" than a normal thief. Leaving a calling card, only aiming for certain items (although the logic behind the items picked isn't necessarily logical to anybody else), taunting the detectives...
Touzoku would be a more.... violent and "rough" thief, I guess. Dorobou is the most common word for thief. Like, if someone stole your wallet or something on the street, that's what you're most likely to scream. But as a name...? Sounds kinda weird...
But yeah, like Sataned said, there are simply too many words for "thief" in the Japanese language to be sure from that little information...
NaNoWriMo! For all the crazy people out there!
....I swear, though, this year, I'm gonna choke on hairballs in November...
I found out his name!Originally posted by Puu >
