I’ve never given a speech before nor have I ever prepared or written one. At the moment, I'm kinda stumped on ideas for what to say.
So, does anyone have suggestions, ideas, or experiences (first-hand or observation) of what to throw into it (or think about) to make it more “interesting” when I recite in front of my high school graduating class?
I mean, I guess I could give a generic “Welcome students, family, faculty ~ ~ ~ … Let us always remember some bull ideal ~ ~ ~ … And always believe in our awesomeness/ability to suceed ~ ~ ~. … Let us take some wisdom in some dead guy, who in [enter year], once said ‘~ ~ ~,’” sort of speech, but I hate putting people to sleep, especially within the 1st hour of a very long ceremony.
