And the console itself isn't the problem, it's the game's programming.

Eh, I cheat in video games whenever I can. I figure challenges should be reserved for things that matter, and video games should be just for mindless fun. Like KOTOR, I don't care about any of the crap with the character building and nonsense, I just wanna mess people up with my lightsaber.

In Halo 2, you have to buy something to cheat/ or glitch. If you do buy it, you connect it to your Xbox and Boom. Xbox is screwed.

My point is that some Cheat Programs screw up your Gaming System.

For one thing, that would be a glitch.
For two, if you are actually damaging the system, I am guessing you are opening the system up and doing something wrong, like soldering without a clue.
For three, I've never hear of anything Halo 2 specific, so I am guessing it's from the internet. I wouldn't buy something and and start soldering on a console unless I had some serious indication that it wasn't a trap.

Lots of people will give anything to Cheat/glitch, even risking their own System.

And I don't think it's a glitch, I think it's a cheat. Since in Halo 2, glitching sort of means like going through walls, going to places where you're not supposed to go, etc.

But cheating, for example. You're playing Live, and you're shooting very fast that's considered " cheating ".

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying it means something else when you're talking about Halo 2.

Cheat programs? Are you talking 'bout ActionReplay/Gameshark/Codebreaker? Those don't even tamper with the console. How could they mess your console up? Now if you mod your 360 to make a lag button or something, that might screw something up.

me and meh buddys found a glitch in the console call of duty...
but its in the dumbest part of the map that no one goes through...
its on that stupid map with the warehouses and trains... idk... i dont own the game...

Well you can be excellent in a game like UT and use glitching as a method of relieving boredom that comes to a gamer when he/she is performing fairly well at a game and currently has no real "challenge" in front of them.

Glitching is fun and I know that exploiting them is cheating BUT if no one exploits them then how can a programmer create a patch to fix the glitch??? haha so in a way its a necessary evil at times, especially in online gaming.

I remember exploiting the Griffin/Wyvern Glitch in World of Warcraft. If you perform the glitch correctly then instead of going to a flight path on your Griffen/Wyvernn you end up mounted on top of one and are invincible to any forms of attack. In order to dismount from the griffen/wyvern you would need to log out of the game and log back in (you would be transported to the flight point destination or will be on your way to the destination).

This glitch was the only way I could visit Undercity/Thunderbluff/Orgrimmar and take pictures with all their faction leaders.

neither of these are enjoyable so I don't see why anyone would do either.

I've never seen it actually making a game more fun, in any game I've ever played with a cheater or a glitcher. It overwhelms me with joy that you now get banned for life for doing it on halo.

most glitches ive heard of have been more complex to perform than doing what ur trying to do without glitching. for xample, on rainbow 6 vegas on the xbox 360, there was a glitch that allowed you to walk through doors, but it took so long and made the game lag so much, it was just easier to open the door.

Actually, one day we were really bored of the usual invasion match in DM-DesertIsle and had a contest on who could do the coolest glitch. I think I lost because I got stuck in the geometry of the map and then suicided using a redeemer.
