Why Can't Kids/Teenagers Have A 'Day'?

There's Mothers Day, Fathers Day and Seniors Day! But where is the Children's Day? I understand that some places like Brazil and Portugal
have Children's Day. But why can't Australia and NZ and other
countries like that have a Children's Day? Us Children have brought
smiles and laughter to a room and our families! So why can't we get a
gift? We get one on our birthdays sure. But so do adults! And on
Christmas. But everybody get's a present on a Christmas. And what
about the people who don't celebrate Christmas. The ones who aren't
Christian or Kami? (Im Kami cross Buddhist ^^)
That's only they're birthday. Unless they are Muslim. Then they get a
present on a day called "Eid" twice a year.
I get present's on my Birthday and usually not Christmas. Because our
Parent's (Or so-called 'Santa') "Bless" us with a holiday to the snow!!
And your views are?
AND- Just so you know. I never get spoilt. My mom and dad aren't that strict but I never get any major gifts. When I was little -Like, 5 or 6- My mom and dad didn't give me any present's for my birthdays. Neither did I get a party. I actually don't want parties. I only like sleepovers with two of my closest friends. We'de stay up, eat lollies and talk until 6.00 AM!
Because you see- I don't mean to brag or anything, but I am the type of person who isn't spoilt, but is really smart. I like to read and stuff.
My parent's don't exactly push me to do my hardest, but I was raised like that. I'm not the type of person who is the teachers pet. Because i'm the one who everybody want's to be. -Sorry not to brag!!- I'm good at sports. Okay my dad pushes me really hard in sports. On my netball games, I keep on hearing "Go! Pass it! Pass it!!" But I guess everybody's mom's and dad's is like that. My mom pushes me hard in studies. Especially in maths.
It isn't annoying, because I'm used to it. But I still live a free life.
I'm a leader of my school. The best major gift I've ever gotten was basically my DS Lite. I pay for all the other games. So don't call us idiots or such.
I am a mature type of kid/teen. Okay!?
So. Why don't we get a day?

1) Kid's day is already a holiday, but no one cares.
2) Why do you want another holiday? So you can get gifts? Go get a job. Two a year is more then enough for leeches, and that's coming from a part-time college student living a home. If your parents don't give you junk on X-mas, that's tough.

Edit: Kid's Day even has a freaken website.

Why because kids have their stupid birthdays, Christmas, and other holidays where they get presents. So it would just be pointless to make another holiday for gifts.

Well arn't we rash. Not all kids get spoiled like crazy. Thats just a common misconception seen from MTV and all that great TV that we get drawn into believing. Hell for my 12th birthday i got a dictionary (nothing fancy) for my birthday and 10 dollars for christmas. Fun times USA for me.

I agree with this statement more than anything else posted on AF in the last month.

And kids can't have a holiday because:

1. They get big birthday parties, whereas adults do not.
2. They get religious holidays, such as Christmas and Hanukkah, on which the get more celebration than adults.
3. EVERYONE has been a kid at one point of another. Why celebrate something everyone goes through under the same circumstances?
4. Because kids don't need (bigger) egos.

you get summer, spring break, Christmas...
99% of all holidays revolve around children.
If anything, we need days of labor for children.
so that maybe they could understand what the real world is like.

Because we teenagers and children bug the crap out of the rest of the world EVERY day, why do they need to give us a holiday to celebrate it? I'm a teenageer and I know most adults are annoyed by teens so I doubt they're about to give us a holiday for it.

Children have a lot of attention anyway. And if they don't then they should have because otherwise that is known as 'Bad Parenting'. Children always get loads of things anyway, and not just for special occasions either. Especially if they are spoilt brats.

Children shouldn't get more holidays they have enough already. Besides the fact if they would get even more present they may really get spoiled brats. As for Teenagers you mostly get big party at your 16 b-day and still get party at your b-day. Only one who really need more holidays are the young adults who arn't parent or anything. They mostly have no holiday and for them there b-day is also not much worth anymore. Besides most of the teenagers will just be like ''i don't care really'' about a teenager holiday. So i think there should be some holiday for young adults.
