Did anyone else participate in the Day of Silence today? Basically, if you support gay/les/bi rights and oppose the hate crimes and killing of people like that (Particularily the shooting of Lawrence King this year), you weren't supposed to say a word all day, from 6 am to 6 pm. You get these "speaking cards" which explain to teachers and other students why you arent talking and about the cause of the event.
Here's the Wiki article if you'd like to know exactly what it is.
It's held in April every year, this years was today. Did anyone else participate in it?
Edit: By the way, I'm not asking if this is a cause you support, I'm asking if you did the event today or plan to in the future. I'm straight but I still participated today, since some of my friends are bi and supported the cause too.
