Did you know today is Earth Day. I completely support this holiday. What do you do to help the environment? All I really do is recycle, I use public transportation, and I try to conserve energy.

Um I don't litter, I conserve power, um fuel efficient car.

I keep waging big smackers in small bills, so the national monetary prints will need moar paper to roll Washington's face on. I like them Green bills because i'm just plain greedy.

Our AP Bio class did a recycling project at school, so now our school recycles. : ) We handed out flyers for teachers to read to their classes this morning.

Oh, did i mention i only use gasoline fueled cars? And that i use the car to go anywhere in the minimum vicinity of 100m in the neighbouhood?

I didn't really do anything for Earth Day, today, per say, but I did educate a little bit about fish and the enviroment to a little kid. Happy Earth Day everyone!!

But seriously, recycle everything, I drive 3 of my friends to and from school saving gas, my mom donates money to the cause, I only use biodegradable products if at all possible.45% of my home's enegry comes from solar panels, the rest comes from wind powered power plant in California, I walk if I can avoid driving, and yes in my AP Biological Environment class we all did plant a tree.

It's okay to use plastic bags as long as you recycle them. Infact using paper bags means cutting down trees. So your mom should use plastic. Most stores have a bin where you can return your used bags.

I don't support this day. It's one in a long line of excuses to do something one day out of the year instead of every day.

Go out and plant a tree or encourage people to recycle because it's a day that ends in Y if you're so concerned.

The short answer is this: We discovered how to make efficent steam engines. We learned how to apply the pressure of the steam engine to power various machines, causing the Industrial Revolution, a period of increasing income to spend on non-vital materials, which drove industry even further. Thanks to the industrial revolution, we moved out of agrarian life and experience increased scientific growth, which later let us understand the effect our industrialization had on the environment.

Also, I declare tomorrow to be Mercury day.

Or go one step further and use reusable tote bags. That's what I do, and it seems to be the norm around here. And if I should happen to get a plastic bag somewhere, I reuse it in the household somewhere.

I hope Australia starts charging for grocery bags... Make people think twice about it =/ Better to eliminate them altogether, but that's not likely to happen. It'll be a while. I remember working in a discount grocery store back in NJ and the chaos that ensued when people learned that, yes, they were expected to pay for their bags. There were also boxes on hand from merchandise, and they were welcome to bring their own.

We recycle, and use cloth tote bags at the grocery store. (If I forget the tote bags, I get plastic bags and recycle them.)
We don't use fertilizers or pesticides in the garden.
We drive fuel efficient cars.
We converted most of our house to be really energy efficient: it's a really old house, so some of it couldn't be converted.
We use biodegradable products.

I don't really care, by the time the world gets to a stage where life becomes difficult, I will be long gone.

Hmmm....Earth day?...When was Earth day? I guess I missed
Well, whenever it was. I contributed alot to Global Warming and the likes this week...... I caused more suffering this one week, than I did many months ago? Hmmm........
Here is a simple list:

- I kept three Air conditioners on 24/7.
- I excessively used washing machines with alot of detergent.
- Wasted water
- Wasted oil
- Used CFC sprays?
- Wasted more energy
- Used the generator alot
- Excessively and aggresively I purposely littered.
- Caused a great deal of sound pollution
- etc......

With people like me around....The Earth is surely doomed.
