What was your very first anime that got you hooked

Cardcaptor Sakura! Well...I guess to be specific, it was called "Cardcaptors". I wasn't even in school when I watched it. It was when Toonami was on in the afternoons, and it had good shows on. No offense to anybody who likes the current toonami.

Ah, the great memories of Rurouni Kenshin.

Everyday I got home around 3:15, and this particular day in 3rd grade I came out with no homework, so I rode my bike around a little, and got bored at around 3:30, so I turned Cartoon Network with Toonami on and bam... Rurouni Kenshin! I've watched Rurouni Kenshin and Samurai-X from episode 1~...the shishio one....and then the 4 movies {Trust, Betrayal, Trust and Betrayal, Reflections}. That last time I actually watched Rurouni Kenshin was probably 6th grade. I recently watched it again, and thought "OMG...Kenshin has large large eyes..."

I first started watching Sailor Moon and Pokemon when I was younger, although I didn't really consider them as 'anime' back then. What really got me hooked was probably the first episode of Naruto, when I saw it first on Cartoon Network. I never really liked it until I watched the Japanese versions, though. The characters in the English dubbed version sounded weird to me XD
