Friends with Enemies.

Have you ever made friends with your enemy? Example: you have your worst enemy in middle school or high school, and you make friends with them in college. To me, the highest philosophy in martial arts is to stop fighting and become friends with your enemy. What's the point to having enemies anyways?

The closest thing to that would be in elementary school. She wasn't an enemy or anything; she didn't deliberately try to harm me or anything like that. We just had a mutual dislike for each other.

One day she offered me a snack. Never knew why she did that, but afterwards, we were really cool. Like the beef was squashed the instant I took a bite from her cupcake.

Well I made up with some former bullies of mine at school - it was a long time ago now and I won't say that we were ever close friends - but we reach a point where we tolerated each other (well they tolerated me) and things were good.

nahh.. I rarely make serious enemies in life.. and if I do it is probably for a reason which will prevent me from being friendly with them no matter how much time will pass..

Pluh. Annoying isn't it? I hate when stuff like that happens all because you're just trying to be nice. Luckily the girl I speak of doesn't try talking to me anymore... well, she's tried, but I've ignored. lol.

Well, I'm pretty much best friends with my arch nemesis. I don't know if that counts. I mean, the only reason I'm still friends with him is because I've known him so long and you can't just toss a friend of that many years out like it's nothing big. So I guess that's sort of the same thing.

Your enemy probably knows more about you than your friends. I dunno, I don't think I was ever enemy with anybody. o_O Fights with my friends, yes.
So to me, there is no such thing as enemy, just friends gone wrong.

Yep.I got into a fight with some girl who just didn't like me for some reason.Well she lost,I won and when I decided to talk to my friends one day,I later found out that she new my friends as well.So whenever we talked nad stuff,she would be there and at times she would talk to me.So I guess were not exactly friends but we can tolerate each other and at least talk normal.

I've made friends out of enemies my entire life. Once I cursed them out for acting like jerks towards me they soon realized that I had the potential to kick their @sses so they got scared so they became my friends!

this girl from elementary school. We were put in the same class again after so many years.not friends anymore but we did used to get along.

oh yeah of course. in the 8th grade there was this girl who hated me, in 9th grade too. but in my sophmore year she decided to tell me why she hated me and decided to make a truce and tell she wanted to be my friend, so now in my junior year me and her are friends now. O______.

It happens, those you think you can't co-exist will one day co-exist with you, and those you co-exist with will not co-exist. Not really enemies, you just don't understand each other...

It has happened to me plenty of times, someone hating on me or someone I couldn't care about and then we actually ended up becoming good friends.
Last week some kids got kicked out of the mall and the cops made the kids apologize to me (I didn't call security, the kids have been walking around the mall the past month being rude to everyone and some guy called based on being sick of the kids doing that) I apologized to the kids for them being kicked out so there was no bad blood and now the group of kids no longer disrespect me ..at least around my store .

I agree. I don't have any enemies, just people that I do not respect, and one or two I dislike, and I just keep my distance from them. I don't think that I've ever had any real enemies, which has been nice. However, if there is someone I dislike that I have to deal with every day, then I am always nice to them. Why make the situation more miserable?
