When I was around 10 years old, my cousin's Korean friend didn't know how to pronounce my name, 'Sergio'. No matter how hard he tried, it came out to sounding like 'Cereal'. My cousin laughed, and suggested that my nickname be 'Cereal'. Probably because that's what I ate most as a kid, and his Korean friend's bad English. 'Cereal' slowly transformed into 'Cheerio' for some reason, and to this day my cousin still calls me that.
