1) It apparently assumes only women get rapped.
2) It assumes the rapist wants to rape you instead of escaping from the locked room.

If you try to attack him, chances are his reaction will be quite physical (chances are he will injure you and you won't try that again). If you tell him you have an STD, I'm sure he'll believe you and just call the whole rape thing off. How are you going to trick him? Say "hey look! Collin Farrell!" when he's got you pinned to the ground or up against a wall? Typically for a male, rape is not about being mutually enjoyable; it's about asserting his dominance over said female.

You're not going to get sensible answers from most because most people have no clue what it's like to be in that situation. Knowing people that have been in that situation, I never asked "GEEZ? I think it's funny that almost everyone in this thread has said they could beat up the generic rapist. Unless you have some martial arts experience, are armed, or are a burly steel-worker, Average Guy is stronger then Average Women.

I have some martial arts experience, so I'll use that against said rapist. And I also carry a switchblade, and some skewers around. But that doesn't mean that I'll be escaping uninjured or alive, it just gives me a small edge.

Although I'm not a girl, if I was a girl in that kind of situation I'd be very cautious of the rapist. You have to consider the fact that some rapists are not gullible, but smart and won't fall for a lot of tricks. Some may be quite strong physically as well and be easily ticked off. So, if I were in that situation, I may fight back, but it depends. If the rapist is armed with a deadly weapon,burly and strong, or easily ticked, then I'd give in unless he/she lets their gaurd down. If I were to give in, I'd take notice of the person's physical features like eye color, facial hair, tattoos, etc. With a good description I could have a decent chance of calling the police later and being able to give them a good profile of the rapist. If the rapist decided that he was going to kill me either way in the end, then I -would- fight back with everything I got to escape. Anyway, that's just how I see it.

Unfortunately that is very true. In reality, I would honestly comply. Especially if he had a gun. I wouldn't want to die that way, not all. Though I may have 7 years experience of martial arts, that's not nearly enough and I'm 5'1.
