Post the albums you really can't wait to come out here.
Utada Hikaru's new album "Heart Station" come out on March 19th. Rolling Stone Japan gave it 5 Stars (Out of 5 Stars) so obviously it's really good. I can't wait to hear it.

Panic! At the Disco's "Fairly Odd" or "Kind of Odd" or whatever it is. I really dug Nine in the Afternoon the single so the rest should be good.
All The Ways You Wish Could Be? That's me
I've already gotten one of the two albums I've been anticipating this year, that being Asian Kung-Fu Generation's World World World. I've listened to it 40 times in the 11 days that it's been out, so I believe that says enough.
The other album I'm awaiting is P.O.D.'s When Angels & Serpents Dance.
"The color fades along the intervals I follow."
Oh so many, but especially Opeth's Watershed.
I fear that Wiberg's leaving has affected their music, but hopefully it'll be as godly as always.
Also Mindless Self Indulgence's If. The Mastermind single is awsome so I expect no less from the album.
Also... I guess I shouldn't say it loud, but In Flames's new A Sense Of Purpose even though the single kinda trashed my hopes.
Evergrey's Torn will hopefully drench their last one.
And Rammstein's new album whenever that decides to peek around the corner.
Spinnerette's Debut album. I've been waiting for it for like 3 years, before they even existed. (Spinnerette is Brody Dalle's new project, she has a huge spiel on how The Distillers were her as a girl, and this is her as a woman.)

The mash up intrigues me.

I can't wait for that album simply because I want to tear it a new arsehole. That intro riff to "Mirror's Truth" sounds like a friggin' Avril Lavigne song.
As for me:
Watershed by Opeth
Mellow Peak by Boris/Merzbow (after Rock Dream I just want more)
Circle Takes The Square II
Blue Lambency Downward by Kayo Dot
Tulimyrsky by Moonsorrow
Station by Russian Circles
Time by Wintersun
Microcosmos by Drudkh (and whatever else they may put out this year)
Dømkirke by Sunn O)))
I eagerly await a new full-length Agalloch album, and Varg gets out of prison in April so I'm hoping for some more Burzum releases (though I don't suspect he'll release anything this year).
Ill Nińo - Enigma and Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero Part 2
The breathing of the ancient ones are seldom feltI alone have torn their dreams apart.
Ehhh, I dunno if I'll stick around. We'll see.

Agreed, that album made my year.
I'm excited for T.M.Revolution's new single, not positive on the name quite yet, but I heard he was coming out with a new single. I'm also dying to hear when Wolfmother's new album will be coming out. But an album that I can name is Nine Inch Nails "Year Zero Part 2".

I'm most excited for My Bloody Valentine's third album. It was announced late last year, along with tour dates. They said it was going to be coming out in 2007, but that didn't happen, which isn't very surprising. So it should be coming any day now, I guess...
The new album by The Breeders, Mountain Battles, is supposed to come out in April.
Franz Ferdinand's third album is probably coming out this year. That might be something to look forward to, but it seems that other recent artists (The Strokes, Interpol) tend to go flat with their third album. Similarly, Weezer's sixth album is probably coming out this year, but after Make Believe, I'm not sure if it's something to look forward to.
The Raconteurs just announced that their new album, Consolers of the Lonely (which they finished earlier this month), is coming out March 25th. Also not surprising, since Jack White has cut White Stripes albums in as little as two weeks. (Icky Thump took a staggering three weeks to make.)
That's really about it. There are a couple of other releases that might be interesting, like Coldplay, Death Cab For Cutie, and Wolfmother; as well as new releases from bands I've heard are good, like Silver Jews, Wolf Parade, Deerhunter, My Morning Jacket, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, and Portishead. But honestly, 2008 doesn't look like a very good year for music, especially compared to 2007.

Weezer's last three albums have made it quite clear they'll never make a good album again, at least not for a long time. =/
Also, the new Nick Cave album came out a while back. I agree, 2008 doesn't really seem like it'll have too many heavy hitters... especially if someone is actually looking forward to another boring, unoriginal Wolfmother album.
Of course it did; I just saw a review of it earlier today. I must be stuck in the past. Hey, did you hear about that new Radiohead album? They're releasing it on the internet and you can pay whatever you want for it.
I got tired of it after a while, but I thought it was a fun debut. The second album's supposed to be basically the same thing, though, so I'll probably get bored of it in a few weeks, if I like it at all. Maybe they'll go in a completely different direction with their third album like nearly every other band these days. Otherwise, back to Led Zeppelin's debut for me...
I wish 2008 had at least some solid prospects, and not rumors and theories. 2007 was exciting right out of the gate for me, with the anticipation for Modest Mouse, The Arcade Fire, The White Stripes, and Elliott Smith's New Moon compilation, and it got better as the year went along. Most of the new albums this year are vague promises, so instead I'm racking my brain trying to think of artists whose last albums came out in either 2005 or 2006 (or even 2004), who might be poised for a surprise late-year comeback as Radiohead did in 2007.
Well, there's The Strokes, but I didn't like their last album, either...

There is no need for Wolfmother to make a new album, the new Black Mountain album already filled the "LOL 1970 PART II" bill (and most ironically the album was called "In The Future"). I really cannot stand bands like Wolfmother, I want to hear bands experiment wildly (even if it results in miserable failure) not watch hem settle for mediocrity. Ripping off Led Zeppelin does not make you as good as them. =/
This is where I disagree. I think experimentation is important, but without a sense of direction and the prudence to make the best of new discoveries, it'll just sound like pointless chaos, and won't yield interesting sounds or ideas. Maybe it's a little more noble, but if the music sucks, then it's arguably as worthless as a band that makes really catchy ripoffs.
I tend to agree about "bands like Wolfmother"; I just don't think Wolfmother is the worst in the bunch. They're not ripoffs to the extent of, say, Jet, where a song can be matched specifically to the song(s) it mimics. Plus, there are occasions where even if a band wears its influences on its sleeve, it can still forge a unique identity (The Strokes being a prime example).

I'm looking forward to Asia's PHOENIX, due in North America on the 15th of April (I think). I might actually pre-order it.
I'm waiting for Daron Malakians solo album but I have no idea when it coming out or what hes doing.
Are you Experienced?
