Most autists are better than most people with computers. It's because computers don't have feelings and so they aren't that complex. (Autists have trouble recognizing hints in facial expressions or eye contact. We get confused and just close up and say nothing and want to get the hell outta there. :P)

Dude that cracked me up. Anyhoo I work with someone who has Asperger's and they are so smart in the maths department =]. However, give him something like. . . accounting and he switches off. I like working with him and think he's normal except he gets really annoyed when I don't understand his super fast speech.

I have an uncertain future. My grades are already down the toilet, and I'm still doing my best sometimes! I think that I'm not a bad student, but when it comes to test and quizzes, I just don't do well. Anyways, if I do manage to get into a college, then I want to start classes in Limnology, the study of pond life and the eco system, I believe. If that fails, then I want to go to the University of Washington in Seattle to study some Eastern and Western Philosophy. I'm a Junior right now, so when(if)I graduate, I'll immediately go to BCC(Berkshire Community College), and then hit the big guys a few years after. I take Carpentry class right now in Vocational, but that's not something I'll fall back on. You maybe asking, "Why are you in Carpentry Tech when you wanna be a Limnologist?" I say this, because our school has very limited options, especially in vocational(and that's quite ironic, because our school was known for it's variety in vocational programs and carreer exploritory). We're currently working on a house, and it's coming along fine. Also, I don't think it pays well to be a martial arts instructor, so that's out of the question, plus, I'm not good at teaching large groups of people anyways, and I'm not exactly old enough either, maybe I should be an assistant insrtuctor?? Who knows, for now, my future is uncertain.

Planning on majoring in business and minoring in music to become a music manager/agent. : D

I'd like to be a forensics pathologist, either that or I'll go into neurology or psychology. I'm currently applying for a mini-internship with a doctor at a childrens' hospital, if I can get in it'll count as a course for high school. And I'm trying to get in some volunteer hours at the morgue. My grades are great, even though I'm not trying but I'm just too lazy. Which I suppose really isn't the correct mindset for uni.

Um... yeah they can. If they require applications and an interview, yes they can reject me. Especially when they're a charter school.

At my old high school they offered this to anyone who was in honors, or had a B+ average in college prep classes, it was called joint enrollment. I should have done that. it would have been easier than AP.

Hey! What a great thread!
My future plans are to move to Portland, Maine and go to the Maine College of Art for 4 years. I would really love to do a semester abroad somewhere in Europe during one of those years. After college, I would like to work my way out of the starving artist class, and buy some land in northern Maine with my boyfriend, and start an organic farm. We would have some animals, but it would be mostly greenhouses for organic plants/veggies. That's my major dream. Art is definitely my biggest passion in life, but I love plants and animals, and hope that I can have both art and farming in my future.

I'm definetely set on becoming a computer engineer. I'm no 4.0 student, 3.6 ballpark, but I'm going to try to get into MIT and pursue at least a master's degree in Computer Engineering.

I've got no alternatives planned, I plan on throwing everything I've got into this. If it does fail though, I know for sure my future is going to be affiliated with computers in one way or another.

As of now...planning to be a Physicist. I've read quite a few books on Quantum Physics, Astrophysics, and Physics in General. My favorite theory is Chaos Theory. Attending University for degree in Physics. At first I was considering Linguistics but I've made up my mind.

Take the CHSPE at the end of this year. Go to community college for two years, transfer as a junior to UC Davis when I'm eighteen. I want to major in psychology and minor in equine therapy. Working with disabled kids, troubled kids, autistic kids, and horses for the benefit of both. Google it, it's cool beans.

I'm nearing the end of my freshman year, but my grades are going down a steep hill, so for now my motivation is to get my grades up so I can return to the same high school for my sophomore year. After that, I'll try to keep my grades up in order to attend Psycology in my junior or senior year. My personal hope, though, is to study any subject I can so I can use it later in life -if needed- for a career in film or live theater.

My future involves art school. Yay! i got accepted where i wanted to go (SCAD) and i'm gonna be doing illustration. Right now i have a few more months before i'm free of high school forever!! (..hopefully)

I already passed the entrance tests of the top two universities of my choice. My course is Mechanical Engineering. I don't really know what will happen after I finish studying but I'm sure it will work itself out.
