Hi and thanks for checking out my art! I'll be updating once a week, mostly on Fridays or Saturdays. Thanks to naotavespaboy for encouraging me to open a thread I'll be grateful for comments and advices. There's a bunch of great artists on AF ^.^

Well, here's some of my older stuff. Sorry if it looks kinda blurry, but it's drawn with pencil and colored with color pencils. And I know that the BG of the 2nd pic sucks, but yet again, darn pencils. -.- That was my W.I.T.C.H. reading phase XD

I really like your first pic, Ivy. He looks mysterious and you've done a good job with the clothing and hair. Well done

I like the first drawing too! Very proportionate and the clothing is awesomely done with the wrinkles and such.
The other two aren't bad, I like your roses and the third one is something like in a fairy tale movie I watched once.
Nice job, can't wait to see more!

the cloth for the first one looks so... I don't know what to say lol, it's just amazing!!
the second one doesn't suck, it looks so good!! I like the way you drew the castle, I hate drawing building and stuff -_-'
the bg for the third one is just awesome!! is it just the paper, or did you coloured with crayon or you used a program or something?

UPDATE TIME!
Okay, the 1st pic is older, as you can see by the date on it. I hope that it will look okay on your PCs cuz it looks a bit odd on mine. I like naming my characters, so I present you Agmar XD

2nd pic I draw recently, during these last winter breaks at like 2 a.m. so forgive me for some obvious mistakes like her awful face, messed up hair and that hand (I know, it looks like a pincer XD). Meet Cathryn =)

And the 3rd pic is my latest work that I've done for school. I was pretty sceptic about showing it or not cuz I find it pretty boring. Anyway, the idea was drawing 3D coats (as in like they're on a person) (no, the proportions are not THAT wrong =) and coloring the background black. I increased the contrast in Photoshop so it looks more interesting now.

Nice job Ivy. You have done a good job on the hands which I find to be a real pain to draw. Angmar is my favorite out of these drawings. As always your colouring is good (I envy you for this my colouring really sucks) could you give me few pointers on how to colour? The last one is interesting and having dropped out of an art course I know that you have to do exercises like that. They are actually really useful to manga artists as it gets you to consider how the item of clothing would appear on a character. Well done to you for posting that last drawing. Promise me you will keep up the good work sis.

~naotavespaboy: OK, promise! ^.^ Well, coloring is really not hard at all. Problem is that most of the people color pretty nervously and their result looks like some 4-year old kid grabbed a pencil and "drew" something. The easiest way is to color gently, making the colors pale. That way it's very easy to color areas equally, to do shadings in color and to make the color look nicely. Needs more time and patience, sure, but with time and practice, you get a hand with it so it goes faster. Well, I hope this will help you, Ray! Thank you for your lovely compliments =)

that second. one..... ummmmmmm....honestly its ok... the figure is good the hands need some work and the face.... idk she needs some like... make over! BAD! lol
and the third one.. yeah they look as if theyd be on some figure GOODJOB!!

~sataned: Yeah, I know her face sucks. I usually suck at drawing faces. I try to copy them if I can, but not always that good XD They mostly look faceless, like hers. Well, hands are always a special matter. Thanks for being honest, I appreciate it, buddy!

Time to update =) Tho it seems like Ray and I are the only ones checking this thread... :/ Oh well.

I found some of my old school drawings recently, so I've decided to make a comparison of my progress. The 1st pic are fists that I drew somewhere in 2006. The 2nd pic are the fists I drew a few weeks ago.

The 3rd pic is Anix =) my latest work, I finished her yesterday. I know, left hand is messed up, but at least the face looks... Well, it looks! No drastic make-over for this one XD I hope she's not too blurry...
