Ninja Scroll is one of my favorite anime movies ever, right after Akira. And everyone should see Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (in its native Japanese) at least once. It is the definition of epic and manly.

Seeing that you have a taste of what looks to be late 80's and 90's.
And Serious storylines. Also most are one shot movies or oav's.
Also 3 titles you mentioned have Katsuhiro Otomo doing a story in them. neo Tokyo/Memories/Robot Carnival.
