Tough guys

what's your opinion about those kind of people? The ones with a mind of steel and a heart made of pure masculinity. real terminator style, yeah!

well personally i hate 'em^^ they are sad, sad people in which i pity because of the fact that they think it's cool to be supreme over others and never show weakness. although i can kinda understand the last one...weakness equals you get picked on at school amongst other things x)

But yeah i still stand on my statement here. quick example my dear sagat that acted superior while i was feelin' down. Looking back at it...yeah that was very emo of me..i mean goddamn....alas didn't know what to do. thanks to the people that answered on that thread by the way. it helped alot^^

so back on topic. What do you feel about these tough guys?

Yeah I hate them, but they often turn out to be complete wimps anyway, especially when they're on their own. Always makes me laugh. XD

I have seen guys that think they are hard get beaten up. And I must say its one of the most best things to experience.

Acting tough sometimes, is a guy's way of hiding his ignorance and fear. I know this very well, because sometimes I act like that in school. I punch doors, give people hard looks and walk around non-chalantly. People tend to back off, and when I look at them, they shy away. I don't even look them in the eyes(I look at the spot just above the brow). It's not all someone's fault, because, inorder to understand a person's situation, you must understand and learn about that person. I know kids who act tough just to fit in, or try to get respect, but that never happens. Even when I don't act like a tough guy and stand there innocently smiling, and another kid tries to fight me, I smile, and they back-off, I don't know why, but they just do. It annoys me as well sometimes when people act like that, and I can judge some of these people at school, because I know them really well. As for me, I'm just acting like everyone else, and I know it's quite arrogant to show off, but I do it sometimes, I just can't help it. Just look at Bruce Lee, the guy showed off, but hey, wouldn't you, if you were at his level?? Nah! I'm not a very tough guy, though I train myself to be, by exercising and by practicing martial arts. Today in school, there were 3 incidents, in which one, "Tough Guy" got arrested today, boy, Pittsfield's schools are getting way more violent these days. 0_o;

Its not just the nice guys. I think that I'm a nice guy, I treat people as best I can, keep my word, and work hard. the question I have is where are all the nice girls?

Maybe he means guys who try to put others down to make themselves look better. Those kind of guys who are arrogant and not necessarily confident are "tough guys" too. I can understand that.They are not fun to be around.

I have always been loved by the people that befriend me. I'm the silent type so my feelings and thoughts are well hidden, so that I am a very hard to work out. So people just count me as cute, cool, relaxed and awesome. ^_^

On Topic: I could care less about tough guys. Let them act how they want, and judge them by that accordingly. As Ball Tripper said, you can be tough and not a jerk.

OP: No, I'm pretty sure this is an attack on Sagat. I mean, you named him specifically, no backpedaling now.

People who judge people solely on looks irritate me.

I think it's referring more to behavior than appearance. Not so much having the muscles, but going "LOOK AT MY MUSCLES! THEY COULD CRUSH YOUR PUNY ARMS! DON'T MESS WITH ME! EXCLAMATION POINTS!"

It is only about behavior. Check the link of Chaos Proxy. And then the youtube video in there. She DOES NOT look tough! But she acts like it. So it's about behavior, right?

I disagree with people making assumptions based on peoples looks. Its not really fair on people. We all have a brain, two eyes, a nose, 2 ears, a liver and we are all basically the same, humans that deserve respect.

I have met ugly people that are morons and I have met good-looking people that are morons, so I know for a fact that you just cannot judge a person based on looks.

I judge people from their sense of character! ^_^
When people say "Its whats inside that counts" then I totally agree with them.

yuuuup that goes for me as well...too bad there's hard to find a balance in it all...
