Humanity, does it deserve it?

Well, I haven't made a thread in a while (Which is a GOOD thing, mind you). So I thought I'd post yet another pointless, stupid, and just....blah topic.

So moving on, I'll ask, does humanity deserve compassion?

To me, I can't give out a full answer. My mind conflicts with this too much. Part of me says no, what it does deserve is to just go bye-bye. Another says, "well...maybe it does, give it another shot". It's annoying really not knowing what to go with, I see people, most take things for granite. Also human nature tends (I'm sure someone is going to ask, "What is Human Nature, so to anwer that; How about you use what you think IS Human Nature) to make us...well...undeserving of many things. Besdies to me we're just killing each other anyway, why gve out compassion? Sense of warmth? Acceptence? Comfort? Bahh to that.

And then of course comes the other side, going against everything I just said, that's why I can't give out a full answer. Anywho, ignoreing how stupid I look (which is pretty hard), anyone care to give out their 2 cents, or nickel? Maybe even a quarter?

No 'we' are not just killing ourselves.
Many people don't really deserve life since they go around killing people.
But there are many innocent people who work very hard to make a decent living.
You cannot generalize humans, we are all way to diverse.
It's like saying a criminal is the same as a police officer.
You can't compare them.
So you can't use we to talk about killing ourselves.
Last time I checked 'we' all aren't out to kill each other.

Most of the humans walking around the earth are nothing but empty shells, their lives have no meaning, they are not useful to anyone, their hopes and goals are just pathetic.

Did you know that about 140~200 years ago our population was like .. 150 million or so. That was acceptable.
But now there are 6.9 billion humans walking around, and soon to be (within next 15 years) there will be 9 billion of us.
We are like cancer, a virus slowly eating away - destroyng everything around us - and man written laws forbid us to kill each other or to limit our numbers.

I'm seriously hoping diffrent prophecys will come true and about 97% of humankind will die. If they won't, I'll do myself something about it.

I mean .. think about it. We are beings who value intelligence, and that has gives us belif that we are the only ones with "common sense", it has given us a chance to beleive in anything, that there is a god or that we should exist, or our lives have a meaning.

Humans are dirty, unneeded creatures..blind to the truth and lie to save themselves.

I am not for extinction but simply i too sometimes wonder do we deserve compassion.I think we don't but you can't say that though.Since not all people are evil and war hungry.So i guess we just keep killing each other and eventually there will be a big war in which most of us will die.That is our destiny.Why?Simply because our numbers are our problem.There is simply to many of us!I mean in 15 years 9 billion!!!!Where are we gonna fit in!!!People have always searched for a way to live better.So the human nature would say this: Why don't i kill my neighbor and take his house and belongings that way my family will have a better life. First you should realize that in saying humans are dirty and such, you are talking about yourself and people you love.
There are to many of us- and that would be because to many people are getting pregnant and having children.
We cannot stop them, nor ask them to stop either.
But you don't kill people just for the matter of overpopulation.
That's inhumane and unfair.
All we can do is inform people of this matter and hope it'll calm down.
Self preservation is a human instinct, everyone has it.
We will do everything we can to save ourselves, lying is just a small factor compared to our life.

My answer is no, humanity doesn't deserve compassion. No second thoughts either. The world is just too corrupt and crazy to recieve it. Yeah there's good out there, but the bad outnumber them...by alot.

I will be going under the assumption that you are asking in a hidden way "do people deserve to be around?" If i am wrong by this then iggnore what i have to say unless you really want to know.
*I am not going to say much on this, but i will say that if you go by the whole "one ruins it for all" then yes people deserve to just die off the planet.

*If we go by everyone being responsible for their individual actions then no only certain people should or need to pay for their actions.

Sadly there are flaws in both of the above views. People most of the time try to force their way of things on others, so then it is not ever an individual action but one of many people. They say people influence people, then we are all responsible for another's actions in this day and age, even if we did not meet them, because what you do to influence others they we be changed by and thus influence others in a ever ending chain even if you did not know you changed them.

I can go on but I will let others carry this talk on because i will anger many if i should go on.

@ Gizoku: how would you know if bad out numbers good for sure? Maybe just maybe it is just that bad tends to stick out more then good because it is not good. I am not saying you are wrong but just "how do you know for sure?"

There is no way you know if the bad out numbers the good.
The good is almost never announced- not even on the news.
Not because they don't affect us in a large way..
But because people are more interested in who's killing who.
Over what fireman saved what kid.
Especially now, people are more interested in hearing about the war than anything else good or bad.

It seems that everyone has different ideas and views on this subject. So, to broden the topic, I'll say that nobody is completely innocent, nothing living is completely innocent. To me, it's all based on the individual. I've witnessed compassion given for the wrong reason, and to most, undeserving people. What makes me think that very little humans deserve compassion, is that they take things and others for granted. What I'm really trying to say, is: who are all to decide weather or not that people deserve compassion?? It's all up for you to decide, and don't let anybody tell you what to do, even if it's wrong. This is between you, and the people you coexist with around you, but still be aware of what you're really doing.

I know I'm a human too, and to be honest .. I'm ashamed to be one.
There are no people in this world who I "love" (this word has been made up by a couple of hippies, it's a thing what doesnt exist).
Massive gaschambers, foodpoisoning, biochemical/nuclear weapons will help us to "downgrade" population, I couldnt care less about kids or women.
Want to know what really IS unfair and wrong? The way we humans treat this planet, these animals, each other and the way we are evolving.

Less than 1% of humans is actually useful, about 5% (could be wrong) have real goals, real dreams. Not just some pathetic ideas how to get more cash or similar.
