The Clinique 3-step system doesn't work that well, you're right on that. But the exfoliator is good. It dries it out and gets the dead skin off...
But I don't like ProActive. My brother and I break out terribly when we use it. Although I *did* like the mask they have...
Velocity is good. I used that for a while.
St. Ives Apricot Scrub works wonders.
Salt and warm water works really well also.
If you're wondering why I've used so many different skin-care products it's because my skin is really strange. I have to cycle through all the different things I use every couple of weeks because for some reason if I use one thing for longer than a month, then it just stops working for my skin. It's like my skin gets used to whatever it is and just turns immune until I haven't used it in a while...
Hair- Aussie, Garnier Fructis, Herbal Essences. I don't like the suave, vo2 or any of the cheaper stuff. It all smells too froo froo-ey. Too much like artificial smoothies and flowers. yech!
Tomorrow's a new day.
Im PRETTY heh

I can't tell you what to do, I can however warn you against making the same mistakes most girls do. Every year girls send or show me their formal photos for my opinions, I have to lie every time;
The fake tans, the terrible curly hair, most of the dresses, the dark red lipstick...
My best advice is don't go overboard, the chances are you will just make yourself look like something that fell out of a garbage heap and was proud of it.
And it's not just me, all the guys that see these photos, were at their formals or whatever also agree.
Chances are if he is your boyfriend he is happy with the way you look, and doesn't feel like kissing a girl who looks like someone else. (Or in most cases, something else)
It doesn't mean you can't make yourself look pretty and wear a nice dress. I am just making the point that on most formal nights, the most prettiest girls tend to turn out the ugliest.
P.S. Did I mention that most of the guys are generally embarrassed to be seen around their new HORRIFIC girlfriends?

Hair Dressers are pretty good at making up-dos with short hair. I was in two weddings over the last summer and my hair was shorter than shoulder length. Both times the hair dressers put it up. It made my hair look longer (since the other girls had long hair in the wedding).
You should talk to a hair dresser, I'm sure they'll be able to help you.
I've attached a picture of mine from one of the weddings so you can see what kind of style I got.
