I can't remember specific bad reps, it's been awhile. Though I'd have to say the most idiotic bad rep would be any of the ones I recieved without a name.

I just recieved one this morning. I PMed a mod to find out who it was. I will see who it is. There should be a rule that members must leave their names too, just to make it easier on the mods and admins, so we don't have to PM them all the time concerning who bad repped us.

That rule only applies to the staff members, I think that it should be forum-wide. However that would be too much work of someone to check,all profiles to see if they did sign rep and if it was the correct user name.

I read what the person who left you bad rep said, and although I don't agree with them, I don't see what the point in having a bad rep option is if people don't say what they think. It's kind of cowardly not to leave your name with bad rep, but I don't see why you bothered to PM a moderator about it, it's not that important and they weren't spamming you or randomly giving you bad rep.

I don't think there should be a rule about it, we don't need one.

I think I deserved 8 of them. But the one I think is most idiotic is someone telling me they didn't like a certain band in the "What Famous Person Do You Hate The Most" thread.

Anyway i got another the other day when on a post i said something about spirits, then after it i said (whether you believe in them or not) then i got bad rep saying "this is bad rep (whether you believe in it or not)"

It made me laugh actually.

The most dumbest reason I got bad rep. Lets see. I think it happened on a deferent forum that I used to go to. I quite it cause I found animeforum which was better. I think the the reason was cause I defended a noob who didn't do anything wrong. I think the person said something like, "you wanna defend the noob, fine, I'll bad rep you too". I wasn't the only person he bad reped for no good reason. He got in trouble later on, I think, so all was good.

I negative repped 'insert user here' because the user made an irrelevant post in a thread, who then edited his or her post with the addition of calling me a dumb[cough]. I left my name in the rep, so obviously the user -or it may have been another of the user's friends- retaliated with this: "I'll make irrelevant posts in all of your threads from now on." Unsigned, of course.

I laughed pretty hard and wondered whether or not the user knew he or she was basically promising his or her own downfall. Oh, and of course the user has not backed up his or her statement. I'm actually waiting to see his or her name will pop-up in a thread I made.

Even though I know I've gotten some really stupid ones I always forget about them. But I often get bad reps because some members don't know me, and can't tell when I'm being sarcastic or something.

I guess sometimes I can be obnoxious, I think most of my bad reps are by members who don't like me and just try to find a reason to bad rep me.

I got bad repped for simply stating my opinion, and what I said wasn't against the rules. How weird, getting bad repped for stating your opinion on the matter. Anyways, I'm not going to bad rep the person, nor will I good rep them. I feel that half the bad reps I recieve are deserved, but I've done nothing wrong. If people would just get to know me, then I know they'll change their minds. Anyways, it would be nice to give someone a second chance to change their decision. I believe everyone deserves a second chance, even though they bad rep you.

I have only one in particular that comes to mind- but the person who bad repped me wasn't the idiotic one, I WAS. :P
She bad repped me I think because of some joke, because she didn't think it was funny, so I repped her THINKING I hit good rep... but instead hit bad rep. *slaps forehead* To make matters worse, I had said (or something along these lines) the reason I was GOOD repping was due to me not wanting to stoop to the same level of negative repping just to be a jerk to people. (It may sound stupid because reps aren't important anyhow- but I just wasn't thinking it through, naturally. lol)

OY. When I noticed I had bad repped on accident... I felt like the idiot.
