Scary: do you believe in 2012 Doomsday Prediction?

see theres one problem with that part. sky net was a make belive company for the terminatior movie series, it was just used as an explination on how they were amd. and if the world is really gunna end in 2012,dont you think you should qut worrin bout it and livin it up now? life is just temporary anyways, cuz as the sayin goes the only two things in life that are ineveitable are death and taxes,

no, i don't believe it. because i am a Christain, so I know that Christ will come someday, and then the world won't be destroyed for like 1,000 years afterward or something close to that. and even then, a new world will be created.

but even if the world were destroyed on 2012, i wouldn't be scared. life sucks, anyways.

Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it, when Yellowstone Volcano erupts, most of us are pretty much going to go bye bye. Is that fortunate or unfortunate? I'm leaning towards fortunate (I won't be around anyway). It's like a new beginning and probably a new Ice Age. With how much crap is going on in the world today, I think it'd be a good idea to 'erase the board' and start over anyway.

Nah, we'll be fine. Just like how we didn't die from the TU24 asteroid that passed us on the 29th of January. Some kid even made a video about how the asteroid would mess up our electromagnetic forces and cause "plasma discharge" (in which case he showed lighting and aurora borialis). Doomsday preachers probably have some twisted amusement in seeing people panic.

I don't believe it- HOWEVER it does creep me out because my friend who's always on the mark with his predictions (even guessing whether someone's baby will be a boy or a girl AND the exact weight... truly.) had said way before we ever started hearing about this 2012 stuff how he feels something big is going to happen in 2012. He said he doesn't think it'll be a "doomsday" thing, but some big event.

The big event in 2012 might have something to do with me and my good looks.

i dont think i need a good explanation on how i arrived at this conclusion... definitely not...

but anyway just to talk about doomsday... i do want it to happen in my lifetime just out of curiosity in what it would be like... will it be a meteor, will it be an alien invasion or a killer virus or a nuclear catastrophy...

i think it would be cool if it was something more magical like the earth opened up and satan emerged with his demonlings and declared hell on earth... and i guess he would say you humans are now mash potatoes and then from out of nowhere a gundam would fall from the sky and the world would be destroyed as they fight to the death... but unknown to all a spaceship was already built by the japanese anticipating this and a few survivors made it into space and huhuhuhhuphhh oh goddddddd...

Well if you look back at millions of other predictions of the apocoloypse you will see things that were dead on and things that were way off. The thing is that when you "predict" the future there is always a chance it will happen. This is because they are never very specific. I could say that a great empire shall rise on newyears day and that this empire will take humanity to a golden age of prosperity. The chances of that happenning are not likely now but the future is the greatest mystery so hence the world could end in 2012 but the year 2012 has been passed many times and nothing has happened yet

dunno what to say... it's the first time I hear about this :|... but still... there have been predictions about a Doomsday in 1000, and 2000 and who-knows-what-other-year -_- ... so I don't really believe it... I don't think you can actually tell when that knida stuff will happen...

On topic - No, I don't. Solely for the reason that as long as I've remembered I've always been pretty darn sure that it's gonna happen in 2013, not 2012. I forgot the exact date too, I think it's in April.

This is a random little bit of spam but slightly releated; I remember in the last palimdrome date a radio DJ said he thought the world would blow up on that exact time.

you should think about how your life will end...not how/when the world is gonna end...since your life could end at every possible second...focus on yourself..rather then on things much bigger then you and out of reach making it impossible to infuence it.

I don't think it will end in 2012. To me, that seems rather soon for it to end. I think it'll just be another failed prediction like the 2000 and June 6, 2006 ones.
