Child Demands Pokemon At Gunpoint

A 10-year-old boy was sent to juvenile hall after holding a foam pellet gun to a classmate's head and robbing him of his Pokemon trading cards.
No one was injured in yesterday's incident.

Redwood City police say the fourth-grader brought an Airsoft gun to Roosevelt Elementary School and held it to a 6-year-old's forehead, demanding that the younger child give up the trading cards.

The fourth-grader has been suspended, school officials are considering whether to expel him.

Team Rocket is corrupting our children.

Its always sad when there is one who takes things too far and ruins the fun for all the rest.
I remember these cards from my youth (wow I can say that now - I feel old!) and like pogs and sticks, they all got baned from school at some point because some kids would take to stealing from others. Its a real shame that these indeviduals exist.
As for this kid - chances are he was a trouble maker most days and this was his latest "prank" or threat.

I want to believe it was his latest prank, but it makes me remember a case of a little kid jumping from a third floor calling for the Flying Nimbus. So I'll just say it's fanaticism.

LOL This is the funnest thing I have read so far. What idiots! A boy bringing a fake gun and robbed this other kid for so pokemon cards LOL.

But this was the best one I have heard.A kidd juping off of something calling for the flying nimbus. What a loser. Even if the flying nimbus came to him/her, he/she would fall through the cloud because only pure hearted people can rid the nimbus.

That's just sad really. I mean both in the pathetic and upsetting way. That people take fanaticism to such an extreme level is SCARY! I mean I go so far as to read and write fanfic and squeal about characters I like, maybe collect some merchandise but that's about it for me! Ah I had my Pokemon collection stolen though... By the movers who packed up our stuff! Can you believe it? I couldn't, but it happened nonetheless! At least I wasn't held at gunpoint for them though...

Wanna know the saddest/funniest part? After that, the network (it was on national tv) took off DB/DBZ for a month. Had to put it back on because of popular demand AND threat letters.

I don't know what to believe anymore. I don't know if that kid has mental problems or if the card game itself corrupted his mind. All I know is, I was never THAT crazy about the game myself. Sure, I'd steal money once in a while to get some cards, but never to buy a gun and bring it to school, while threatening a junior student to give up his prized cards. Today's world is crazy.

I can so picture this. Pokemon cards became like currency at my first grade school.

im different though.. i may be 2 years old but im exactly what i look like.. an angel ohohohohoh....

i wonder what these kids will be like when they grow up... if theyre using hand guns at such an age.. i wonder what theyll be using when theyre 20 or 30...

What was he doing with the pellet gun in the first place? The error is not in him putting it to some kids head, but his parents getting him the obviously inappropriate toy.

Exactly.I agree with Eris on this one.Usually in these kind of incidents the parents are part of the problem imo.

Aw man, I remember those days of pokemon cards and pogs! I loved pogs, haha. Those were good times... LOL
But really, yeah... it wouldn't surprise me if that was just his latest threat/prank. It does suck when a few people ruin the fun for everyone else. Though I'm not into Pokemon anymore, that still sucks.

Well kids just get obsesed sometimes with shows.What can you do they are just not ready and are young and as young they accet whatever they see and try to imitate.Well this may sound freaky but i know of this one event when little kid jumped into a well thinking they are TeleTubies or how do you call them i know there are 4 of them and one is purple,yellow,red and blue.They have these weird antennas and have strange names like Po,LaLa,Dinky Linky and Dipsy.Not sure if you know it.Well anyways a few kids jumped into a well just by watching that show and its supposed to be harmless

Seeing some kid hold a air gun to another kids head and demand pokemon cards seems like a funny joke you'd see in like, a web comic or something. Its weird when these things actually happen.
