Very nice love the new one! Keep up the good work.
when i go home tonight, i'll grab the picture i have in mind for Shinku and upload it. for now, here's the pic i'd do of Haruka. It's not that difficult per say, but then again i have hardly any time these days to make such complex pictures like the last one lol
EDIT: added Shinku's picture

Did you really draw that? It's Amazing AND unique.
Currently watching:Clannad,H20 footprints in the sand,Shugo Chara!Soul Eater,Lucky star,Maburaho,Kamen No Maid guy,Elfen Lied
uhmm... i'd say about 60 or so hours.
i actually didnt draw it, per say...
since i used Adobe Illustrator CS3, it's not really drawing, just connecting points in a way that forms an object out of vectors, and then filling in whatever is between those points.
i uploaded the wireframe view, so you can see how i built it.
and almost all the lines are doubled or tripled up for getting the colors right.

the main character of the game i'm making.
I literally just finished him like 3 minutes ago.
You'll also notice that i'm using a completely different style of vector-work. Instead of drawing a line with a stroke, i drew a complete black object and then filled in color on top of that, and then multiplied areas for the shadows.

Ooh! Vectors are awesome. Smooth funness, if done right. (Personally, when I was into vector art, I never did the "stroke" option, I always filled the shapes out like in your last drawing)
One thing. A lot of your art seems more like a draw-over or vectorization of screencaps of anime. Are you just doing a good job of imitating the style, or am I right? (The winter scene one looks quite original, though.)

thanks, and I'm glad you like my last one
Ya, you're right with the draw-over technique. I was learning how to use the program more than try to make art though. But my last piece was mostly done from scratch (with the hand-drawn concept art sitting beside my monitor for reference).

Yeah, that last one didn't look very anime-ish, forgot to mention that, though. Might want to remember to shrink the image next time ^^

cool
Ya, sorry... I'm just so used to making all my images super high-res
EDIT: shrunk it down to about 1/3 the size

Your drawings are simply AMAZING! I love them! I hope to see more of your art. I love the wintery background with the blond girl. ^^

i would love to add more of my art, but i sadly would not get the same responses if i uploaded the 2d texture files... and idk how many people on here have 3ds max 9 to open my 3d work.
i'll try to get a screenshot of a game i'm making that's cel-shaded in UT3.
however, some people will argue that it's not really art, since it's 3d assets for a videogame...

wow you only use illustrator to make all these? My degree in college now is Graphic Design...although its going a little slow now lol.... I think i might have the same problem as you with the whole cant really use a pencil and paper...i feel more comfortable with a mouse lol.... my question is how did you start out when you started making your illustrations? trial and error or books?
One of my classmates is very proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop, and he taught me very basic pieces of how to use Illustrator... such as the Pen tool is used for basically everything, how you can make a stroke and increase it's size, fill in the area inside a stroke to make a fill and then re-arrange the order of the objects so the fill is behind the stroke... that's basically it. As I used it more and more, i got better and better with it. Trial and error got me knowledge of what a lot of tools did and how to use them.
Also, since I'm fairly good in Photoshop as well, I had knowledge of the effects at the top (like Gaussian Blur, etc).
How far into your Graphic Design course are you? My best friend just finished her 2 year term in Multimedia and Graphic Design in April.

I really like your works, and I'm impressed by your program skills.
I have a question.. do you ever just draw in pen or pencial? Like doodling or whatever..?
Wow....they're really nice ^_^
I like the 3rd pic best. Keep posting some more
well since my ex-job took alot of my time when i was still in school. i still havent got my degree but as for the classes i have taken...
Photoshop 1 and 2
After Effects 1 and 2
Illustrator 1
typography..which made learn more PS, Illustrator, Quark, In Design..
I also took some other classes that had me use these programs multiple times and as for the Pen tool i totally understand how its used all the time...so everything you said i understand all to well....my only problem is i didnt realize i could have been using this prrogrm to make illustrations like you are lol.....
As for the most i have experience in it goes.....PS, Illustrator,After Effects, In design, Quark
